Wait, Is That Disney’s Dreamfinder Selling…Pizza?

Lean in close…we have top secret Disney news to share with you. 🤫

Dreamfinder

We’ve seen some characters and attractions come and go in Disney World. From the Dreamfinder’s disappearance from Journey Into Imagination to the end of Stitch’s Great Escape, we’ve said “goodbye” to quite a few Disney characters and experiences over the years. But you never quite know when or where some of them will reappear! Sometimes rare characters can pop up in unexpected places, and now it seems one character may have reappeared in a very different (yet familiar) form.

Shout out to Scott Gustin on Twitter for being one of the many to point out something strangely familiar about the new Cicis Pizza ad. Take a look at the ad for yourself and see if you feel like their main character — C.C. Pazzini — feels oddly familiar.

It’s not a direct clone (obviously), but we’re getting some Dreamfinder vibes here. Are you?! The ad features a guy wearing a steampunk-inspired outfit, complete with a top hat and some goggles/glasses laid on top of them along with a suit, mustache, and longer hair. Plus a steampunk-looking machine with exposed tubing and other elements.

Anyone just feel like things are a little oddly familiar here?

Dreamfinder

We have deduced what we think to be the most logical explanation for this situation. OBVIOUSLY Dreamfinder had to go into some kind of protection program for his own safety and has now reappeared under his new name. (It’s a bit strange to see someone under a protection program give such a public appearance and it’s probably totally against the rules to do so, but hey, special situations can call for some unique things.)

Maybe Dreamfinder had some secret knowledge about EPCOT or what happened to some other Disney characters that have disappeared from the parks over the years and had to be protected. Who knows?!

Whatever the case, it seems the agency has developed a very thorough backstory for Dreamfinder’s new identity. According to the Cicis Website, C.C. Pazzini was just a small baby when he was left in a basket at Papa Pazzini’s doorstep in Little Italy. Papa Pizzini was the owner of a pizzeria. He took in the baby and raised him, though C.C. never grew to be more than 4 inches tall.

C.C. went out on his own once he was older to create his own pizzerias where he could share his ideas with the world.

Hmm…clever story. But we all know the truth now. 😉

Dream-Catching Machine

Break to being real for a second — Now, just to be EXTRA clear, Disney has no association with this Cicis Pizza character (from what we know) and it is not meant to actually be Dreamfinder. But many have drawn comparisons between this character’s look and that of Dreamfinder, so we couldn’t help but share it with you!

What do you think? Do you see a Dreamfinder resemblance? Has Dreamfinder had to find new work due to his removal from EPCOT? Is he in a witness protection program? What do you think led him to a life of dough and pepperoni? Tell us in the comments!
