From Hocus Pocus 2 to the I Am Groot Original Shorts to future seasons of The Mandalorian, we’re looking forward to so much on Disney+! Now a popular book series is getting a live-action series, and here’s what we know.

According to Variety, an Eragon live-action TV series is coming to Disney+! This series is reportedly in early development, based on The Inheritance Cycle young adult series by Christopher Paolini. Eragon is the first book in the series.

The Inheritance Cycle series includes four different novels, with Eragon being the first to be self-published in 2002. The series has sold over 41 million copies worldwide and it was adapted into a film in 2006 — though the film was not well reviewed by critics and many fans have since been asking for a series version.

The four novels of The Inheritance Cycle follow the farmboy Eragon and his dragon Saphira as Eragon becomes a Dragon Rider on a mission to defeat an evil king. Eragon writer Paolini is expected to be a co-writer on the series, with Bert Salke serving as executive producer.
