The pandemic has been truly unpredictable, and mask mandates have fluctuated over the last two years. One entertainment staple that’s had varying COVID-19 protocols is Broadway, and there’s been another update to their health and safety regulations.

As COVID-19 cases rise again, especially in the Northeast, Broadway’s Mask Mandate will be extended through May 31st. The Broadway League said it wants to continue a safe track record for audiences and employees alike.

While the mask mandate will continue, Broadway theaters will soon be leaving vaccine checks up to individual theater owners. The Shubert Organization, for example, will not be requiring vaccination starting May 1st.
