Over the next month in Disney World, several restaurants are reopening or getting some big changes. Jiko – The Cooking Place and Flying Fish are both returning, and Cape May Café is getting its breakfast buffet back!

Over at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, a popular restaurant is getting some major menu changes, including the return of some breakfast favorites! Let’s head in to check out the changes.
Ale & Compass is a table service restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Disney announced that some fan-favorite breakfast options would be returning to the menu, including the popular Blueberry Bacon Pancakes and a breakfast buffet option. Let’s check it out!
Atmosphere
We had breakfast reservations (reservations are recommended for any meals here), so we headed up to the host stand to let them know we were there. Shortly after that, we were called to be seated and led to our table.

Our table was set up with a QR code menu and some condiments. You may ask for a paper menu if you’d like that instead. They also have a paper drink menu.

The decor at Ale & Compass is meant to mimic a New England lighthouse. This spot is pretty casual compared with some of the table service restaurants at Deluxe Disney World hotels (especially at breakfast).

Inside, you’ll find wood accents and cool tones, which create a comfortable but still upscale atmosphere. Along one wall is the breakfast buffet line, which is available to those who order this option.

Food
For breakfast, you can choose from a variety of options for juices and smoothies, coffee…

…tea, other beverages…

…and “Morning Libations.” There are also a few cocktails that show up on the food menu.

Entrées include some favorites like the Dark Chocolate Waffle (seriously, that waffle is delicious) and now a few returning items like those Blueberry-Bacon Pancakes. Expect to spend between $12 and $20 for an adult entrée here. If you’d like to eat on the buffet instead, you can order that for $23, and it comes with your choice of entree.

You can also grab some sides, including bacon, sausage, fruit, oats, and truffle fries.

Kids can create their own meal by choosing and entrée and two sides.

Taking a look at the buffet options, they have fresh fruit…

…an assortment of mini muffins…

…and croissants. They’ve got all the pastries here!

There was also a selection of mixed berries, which included pineapple, strawberries, and grapes during our visit.

Further down the line, we found a few different yogurt parfaits. The first one is topped with blueberries.

If you’re not into that, you can go for the strawberry yogurt topped with strawberries instead. (It’s a classic choice, you can’t go wrong there!)

Don’t forget to top your chosen parfait with granola before you head back to your table!

They also had a few cups of chilled overnight oats out, topped with strawberries for a little sweetness.

And what breakfast buffet would be complete without cinnamon rolls? Answer: none. (We totally won’t judge if you grab two or three of these!)

And finally, you’ll want to grab one of the delicious cheddar biscuits…and don’t forget to top it with gravy! That’s a breakfast classic, right there.
