There are a lot of ways to get around Disney World, but one of our favorite ways is the highway in the sky, aka the monorail!
And, while the classic look never changes, what has been changing over the past year is the interior of the cars! We’ve seen a bunch of monorails get a makeover (including one for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary) and after almost 18-months of refurbishments, another monorail has received its updated look!
It’s always exciting to see what color monorail we’ll hop on and when we were headed into Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center this morning, we were surprised to see the yellow monorail pull up with a fresh coat of paint!
And, once we stepped inside, we could see that the interior got a bit of a facelift (similar to what we’ve seen on other monorails) with a new design and inscription that says “Monorail Yellow.” So, there’s no mistaking what color monorail you’re riding now!
Plus, even the seats received some TLC with new upholstery installed.
Well, now there’s another colored monorail that you can look forward to hopping on when you’re traveling to the parks. And, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more new updates around Disney World, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

The best was when you could ask to sit up front with the operator! An entirely different view
up there! But then they had the accident where the controller over the entire system went out
for breakfast and an inexperienced pilot crashed into the monorail ahead of him. His parents
sued for an “undisclosed amount of money” and sitting up front became a thing of the past.
