Over the past 10 years, Disney has released some big theatrical (and Disney+ hits).

Marvel fans have been able to keep up with their favorite superheroes with movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, Star Wars fans have seen the release of the most recent trilogy, and there have even been some big animated films like Frozen and Toy Story 4. And, while Disney continues to think up and premiere new movies, one of the key leaders of Disney Studios Content will be leaving after this year.
Disney has announced that Chief Creative Officer at Disney Studios Content, Alan Horn, will be retiring at the end of 2021.

Horn joined The Walt Disney Studios team as Chairman back in 2012 and moved his way up to his current role, overseeing projects like Captain Marvel, Coco, Cruella, Frozen, Frozen 2, Hamilton, Incredibles 2, Jungle Cruise, and much more.

Prior to his role with Disney, Horn co-founded Castle Rock Entertainment in 1987 and later became the President and Chief Operating Officer at Warner Bros. (leading the creative teams that worked on Harry Potter, Batman Begins, The Shawshank Redemption, and more).

Disney has not yet announced who the next Chief Creative Officer at Disney Studios Content will be, but we wish Horn all the best after his nearly 50 years of service!
