Halloween is just around the corner! Time to start decorating, stocking up on candy (and then buying more candy because we ate it all before October 31), and planning those costumes!

Halloween in Disneyland!

If you’re looking to do a Halloween movie marathon (of course you are!), we’ve got some recommendations for 10 Disney movies to watch this Halloween!

Hocus Pocus

You can’t mention Disney and Halloween without talking about Hocus Pocus! This classic 90’s Halloween movie, which stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, follows three witches who have been resurrected on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts. A sequel is set to come out next year!

Nightmare Before Christmas

Nightmare Before Christmas is another classic Halloween movie! Created by Henry Selick and Tim Burton, this story follows the residents of Halloween Town as they try to celebrate (ahem*steal*ahem) Christmas by bringing gifts to the children of the world.

Halloweentown follows the story of three kids,  Marnie, Dylan, and Sophie, as they sneak into the magical land of Halloweentown to find their mysterious grandmother! This movie was a Disney Channel Original Movie and has a plethora of sequels!

Starring Tia and Tamera Mowry, Twitches is another iconic Disney Channel Original Movie about Halloween! The movie follows the story of twin witches, or Twitches, who were separated at birth. This movie also has a sequel called Twitches Too!

House of Villains

The House of Mouse’s House of Villains Special might not be as well known as some of the other movies on this list, but it’s a great Halloween movie! The special is based on the television series House of Mouse, which was an animated variety show hosted by Mickey Mouse. In this special, the House of Mouse is overrun by Disney villains who put on their own show!

Coco may not necessarily be a Halloween movie, but for anyone who also celebrates Dia de Los Muertos (or even if you don’t), this is a great addition to your rotation! This Pixar film follows the story of Miguel, a young boy who accidentally travels to the Land of the Dead and learns about his family’s past.

Frankenweenie is another Tim Burton offering for the Halloween season! This movie follows the story of a young Victor Frankenstein, his journey to resurrect his dog Sparky, and the mayhem that results afterward.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is one of the older films on this list, but it still holds up as a great Disney Halloween movie! The film features two stories: one following Mr. Toad and the other about the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Horseman.

The Haunted Mansion

Love it or hate it, The Haunted Mansion starring Eddie Murphy is an iconic Disney Halloween film! The movie follows the story of the Evers family and their new home: the iconic Haunted Mansion. This year, Disney released another movie based on the Haunted Mansion, this time starring the Muppets! Find this fun film on Disney+!
