Disney World’s Kali River Rapids Will Close For Refurbishment SOON

Between short-term refurbishments leading up to the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, and long-term closures that are impacting spots like the Walt Disney Railroad and the Main Street Confectionery, there has been a lot to keep up with this year. And, now another attraction is set to close for refurbishment soon.

According to Disney’s website, Kali River Rapids will be closing for refurbishment beginning November 1st at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This water ride does tend to close for a short period of time annually for scheduled maintenance, so the closure could be related to this once again.

UPDATE: Disney has extended the closure through January 3rd, 2022.

Disney has not yet released an exact date that the attraction will reopen, but the website states that Kali River Rapids will remain closed through mid-December.
