PHOTOS: Signs Removed From the NBA Experience in Disney Springs

Disney Springs can be a great place to head if you don’t want to head into the parks or want to spend some time eating and shopping without needing a ticket!

The shopping and dining district was one of the first areas to reopen last year, and, while most stores, restaurants, and activities have welcomed guests back once again, Disney announced last month that the NBA Experience would be closing. And, now the building is looking pretty different.

We were in Disney Springs today and we noticed a major difference in the exterior of the NBA Experience building. If you don’t remember, the outside of NBA Experience used to look like this…

…but now the sign and basketball hoop have been removed and the exterior of the building is a plain grey.

NBA Experience sign is officially gone

The NBA Experience opened back in 2019 (replacing DisneyQuest) and was an immersive basketball space where guests could interact with 13 solo basketball-related activities meant to challenge and develop their basketball skills. It closed with the rest of Disney World in March of 2020 and remained that way until sharing its permanent closure in August 2021.

Just a regular building now

Disney has not yet announced what could be taking over the large space, but we’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
