Disney World first announced its ambitious Space 220 Restaurant at EPCOT in 2017. That was three years ago!

And since then, we’ve seen some concept art of what the restaurant will look like and have followed the construction of its location at EPCOT. But after we noticed that the restaurant was hiring, we’ve been anxiously awaiting more details about its opening date, as well as what kind of food guests can expect there.
Today, though, we finally got some new details about Space 220! Disney has announced that Space 220 will open in mid-September. The restaurant will offer an out-of-this-world dining experience where guests will board one of two space elevators that will “transport” them 220 miles above the Earth to Centauri Space Station.

Once guests have arrived, they’ll head into the space station-themed dining area, where they will enjoy a panoramic view of Earth below, as well as “a variety of work and leisure activities taking place beyond the windows.”
But what will guests be eating? The menu, designed by Chef Mark Kusche, will feature “stellar dishes and gourmet recipes” with a prix fixe two-course menu for lunch and a prix fixe three-course menu for dinner.

Disney promises some unique beverages, too — “from fine wine to atmospheric cocktails and more.” Disney also shared a TikTok with more details and a sneak peek inside the actual restaurant.

Of course, we’ll be seeing even more when the restaurant opens next month — and we’ll be there with a first look to share it all with you.
