Spas, Salons, and MORE Experiences Coming to the Disney Wish

The Disney Wish is the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and it’s one of the most luxurious yet!

Earlier this month, we were obsessing over the new dining experiences that will be on board this cruise ship! Now Disney has announced several more additions to the ship, including a new spa, a couple of salons, and several nightlife experiences!

Let’s see what Disney has unveiled for the Disney Wish this time! All of the new experiences in this announcement are for guests ages 18+, so they’re meant to be adults-only spots for relaxation and fun! To start out, there’s a new Outdoor Oasis at Senses Spa, the first outdoor spa on board a Disney Cruise ship!

This spa will be a new extension of the Cruise Line’s existing Rainforest experience. It will include an ice lounge, “heated ergonomic loungers, sensory spa showers, and sauna, steam, and dry chambers.” There’s even going to be space for an outdoor yoga session!

Once you’ve relaxed at the Outdoor Oasis, you can stop by one of the Disney Wish’s new salons, the Untangled Salon or Hook’s Barbery! The Untangled Salon offers “haircuts and styling…manicures, pedicures, teeth whitening, and skin treatments” and is themed after the Disney movie Tangled!

At Hook’s Barbery, you can get hair cuts, shaves, as well as nail and skin care in a setting that’s inspired by the villain from Disney’s Peter Pan. The best part of this pirate-themed barber shop? There’s a hidden bar! The bar will feature “pre-Prohibition bourbons, vintage whisky and port, aged rum and premium spirits” and be the perfect spot for a hang-out after your shave.

Speaking of bars, there are three other Nightlife lounges on board the Disney Wish! The first is the Keg and Compass, which is “designed in the rustic architectural style of a late 1800s Norwegian sailor’s map room.” This bar will have a huge map on the ceiling that shows marine locations from several Disney movies as well as other spots that are significant to the Walt Disney company.

It’s a casual spot that has TVs for sports, news, and other shows. There’s a selection of beers “including three custom craft brews available exclusively aboard the Disney Wish” plus liquors and cocktails! For a more refined location, you could try out Nightingale’s, which is a piano bar inspired by Cinderella’s song “Sing Sweet Nightingale.” Nightingale’s will serve fine wines, bubblies, and cocktails to live piano music in a fairytale-themed setting similar to that found in the Wish’s Grand Hall.

The last new lounge that Disney announced is the Bayou, which is a casual spot inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog! Plants and fireflies create a bayou setting where you can try creative cocktails, coffees, and beignets while you listen to live entertainment and music!
