NEWS: Marvel Announces New “Old Man Star-Lord” Scripted Podcast

With the upcoming opening of Avengers Campus at Disney’s California Adventure and the success of shows like Wandvision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel has been very busy with new projects!

If all the new shows, movies, and attractions coming this year weren’t enough, Marvel has just announced yet another exciting project is coming soon!

This morning Marvel announced via Twitter a new scripted podcast coming to Sirius XM Radio.

According to Marvel, the new project, called Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord, follows the story of elder versions Star-Lord (voiced by Timothy Busfield) and Rocket (voiced by Chris Elliot) in the distant future as they attempt to save the world from Doctor Doom. As Star-Lord and Rocket attempt to gain their bearings and learn to be heroes again, they face numerous challenges in their journey to redemption.

In the trailer shared by Marvel on Twitter, the deaths of numerous heroes such as Captain America and Black Widow are announced, showing that Star-Lord and Rocket are Earth’s last hope. The story will also feature Kraven the Hunter, a favorite villain among Marvel Comics fans who often fights Spider-Man alongisde the Sinister Six. It was also announced that Danny Glover would be joining the cast in an unknown role.
