Last week, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city will officially move to reopen on July 1st but it was still unclear when Broadway would make its full return. That is…until today.

According to NBC New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that Broadway will reopen on September 14th at 100% theater capacity. And, those who are excited for a return to the theaters will be able to purchase tickets beginning tomorrow, May 6th.

Health and safety measures at the theater will align and evolve with the current health guidance from the state. This means that face masks, temperature screenings, increased cleanings, and enhanced air filtration and ventilation will be required when theaters reopen. Though, keep in mind these could change if state guidelines alter before September.

And, in the case that a show needs to be canceled or postponed once reopened, Cuomo shared that theaters will have refund and exchange policies for those who have purchased tickets.
