PHOTOS: We Spotted Some Disney World Characters in a Surprise Location Today!

While many things have changed around Disney World since its reopening, one that thankfully keeps evolving is the presence of characters in the park.

Character Cavalcade

No, you still can’t run up and hug Mickey, but some character meals have returned, like Garden Grill and Topolino’s Terrace, plus you can see some of your favorite Disney characters around the parks in Character Cavalcades.

We love seeing characters and recent additions to cavalcades, and new character spots in the parks have been welcome changes to bring extra magic to our day. However, the character interaction we had today was a total surprise!

As we were hanging out at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, who did we spy but Goofy and Pluto inside and greeting guests!

Where will we find them next??

Pluto and Goofy were hanging out on one of the landings overlooking the main lobby and giving a friendly “hello” to passersby.

What a good boy!

This was such a fun start to the day, especially since we didn’t know these two would be out and about. But, it got even better. Later on, we saw the duo again outside!

They continued on to say hi to guests from outside the resort! Pluto gave us another wave as we went by.

Even though these two were pretty far away, we still got to have a moment to interact with them that felt special. Since there are no set schedules for character meetings right now, make sure you’re always on the lookout if you’re hoping to come across Disney pals — you never know where or when they’ll pop up!
