Some of the most lovable Disney characters are The Muppets!
Not only do they star in the attraction Muppet Vision 3D, but they run the restaurant PizzeRizzo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! And now, the man who created these unique and funny characters is getting his own film!
According to Deadline, Jim Henson (also known as the creator of the Muppets) will get a biopic named Muppet Man! Michael Mitnick is set to write the film for Disney and the Jim Henson Company.
The movie is currently in development and will follow the life of Jim Henson which includes his legendary puppeteering, creation of the Muppets, and creation of some Sesame Street characters.
The main focus of the film will be Henson’s experience trying to convince broadcasters that the Muppets were a fantastic idea, and how the famous Muppets we all know and love came to be.
Since the film is currently being developed, there is no date for when the film could be released. As we get more information about this exciting film, we will keep you updated!
