We’re back at California theme parks and we’re excited to share it with you!

Today is the reopening of Universal Studios Hollywood, and we’re live from the park to share all the changes. We’ve checked out the health and safety measures and noted the differences in the way the park operates, but now it’s time to do some rides! How is the ride process different than it was before? Let’s find out!
To test things out, we decided to hop on The World-Famous Studio Tour! The full ride lasts about 60-minutes as you wind through behind-the-scene looks at working movie studios, so we were in for the long haul.

The wait was listed as 25 minutes, so the line zig-zagged around the queue a few times.

But, there were markers throughout each loop to help ensure that guests were socially distancing. Since it was more of a wrap-around, Universal has added extra space between makers so there is 6 feet of space between the parties to your right and left in addition to the front and back.

We ended up waiting closer to 35 minutes, and when it was time to board, we noticed that they were spacing parties out and loading every other row.

We loaded into our row and then we were off! Each row seats six people, so smaller parties now have quite a bit of space to spread out compared to what it used to be like riding this attraction.

As we made our way around the different studios, there wasn’t too much action going on. But, every once in a while you’d spot crew members who were following health and safety measures themselves.

Other health and safety measures implemented on the attraction include hand sanitizer stations at multiple locations throughout the queue and exit.

It sure was great to be back on an attraction at Universal Hollywood! Thanks for tagging along for the ride! Stay tuned to AllEars as we continue to explore Universal Hollywood on reopening day!
