Have you ever stayed at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort?

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is officially reopen!

This hotel is considered a Disney Value Resort, meaning that it is priced in a more “budget-friendly” range. It is one of three All-Star Resorts at Disney World and is currently the only one that has reopened to guests since initial closures began last year. And, they’re rolling out the red carpet (literally!) to welcome guests back. So, today we’re stopping by and giving you a look INSIDE one of the standard rooms!

When you’re staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies, you’re transported directly into the middle of some classic Disney movies. There are five themed areas that feature larger-than-life decorations from Disney’s Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Herbie: The Love Bug, The Mighty Ducks, and Toy Story.

Step into larger-than-life Disney movies!

We stayed in The Mighty Ducks section in a Standard Room with a Courtyard View. The Courtyard Views tend to be the middle-of-the-road option in terms of price. If you want a pool view, expect to pay a little bit more or you can select a parking lot view for a little bit less. So, let’s take a look around!

The Standard Rooms at All-Star Movies come with either a king bed or a queen bed and a queen-size table bed. We opted for the queen bed for our stay. Note that no matter which one you choose, the regular bed will be closest to the bathroom.

And, above the bed, you’ll find Mickey, Minnie, and Donald ready for a starring role in their next cartoon! The decor adds a touch of character (see what we did there?) to the room and doubles as extra lighting.

Art made for the movies!

The second queen bed doubles as a desk with seating for two. You can pull it down at night to sleep up to four people in the room.

When you pull the bed down, it features Huey, Duey, and Louie Duck catching some zzz’s. And, you can even see what they’re dreaming about all cuddled up on the couch.

The room is also has a TV and dresser with 3 drawers and some cabinet storage. In the corner, you’ll also find additional shelving with a coffee maker and a mini-fridge.

You’ll have a coffee maker alongside a bucket for ice…

Grab your coffee in the morning and get ready to go!

…and when you open the drawer you can find cups, tea, and other things you’ll need to whip up your morning brew before heading to the parks.

Here’s a look at the view of the room when you initially enter the door. The bathroom is located towards the back of the room and our room had a door that connects to the room next door. Not every room at All-Star Movies features adjoining rooms, so you need to request that ahead of time if you’d like that.

This is how the room looks from where you enter

Now, let’s take a look at all the little details in the room! When you first enter, you’ll find hooks by the adjoining door to hang your bags, coats, or ponchos out to dry.

Hooks for extra storage

There is also a closet that comes with hangers for your clothes and an ironing board.

And, you don’t need to worry about bringing an iron or hairdryer. You’ll find that in the room on the shelving unit next to the mirror.

A hairdryer and iron are included

On top of the dresser, you’ll find a display that shows you all of the touchpoints in the room that have been cleaned a little bit extra as part of Disney’s commitment to heightened safety procedures.

Your room comes extra clean

Our remote even came in a sanitized pouch that is changed out between guests.

And the remote is sanitized in a bag

Let’s head over to the bathroom, shall we? The room features a large mirror above the sink as well as a smaller magnification mirror on the wall next to the bathroom door. There’s even some extra storage space next to…

…and below the sink, so the whole family can keep their items out during your stay.

More storage below the sink too!

A door separates the toilet and shower from the sink area, which enables multiple people to get ready at once. And, you’ll find a few towel racks inside of the bathroom where housekeeping will place your towels.

The showers feature a sliding door

There’s no need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, or soap! Inside the shower, you’ll find that Disney has it all in refillable and reusable bottles that are sanitized after each guest.

Bigger soaps and shampoos, how exciting!

Earlier we mentioned that our room was a courtyard view, so we’ll give you a peek at that too! We were on the first floor so you can see the bottom of the big hockey stick that was on the building.

Thanks for coming along on the tour of our room at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort! Keep in mind that these rooms recently underwent renovation so they are a bit nicer than the other All-Star Resort rooms. Disney is currently renovating All-Star Music and we anticipate that All-Star Sports won’t be too far behind. But, for now, that’s it for our tour! Stay tuned for all the latest Disney updates, including Disney World hotels!

  1. Over the years have stayed at all the all stars! Great for budget especially if a family like ours that spends rope drop to close in parks
Love the themes – really feels like you are in heart of Disney!

  2. It’s a lot nicer than last time I checked the resort out. It could be a contender if we ever want to make a short, less expensive trip.

  3. We stayed their twice; once when we were watching our money and once when my daughter was little. In fact, we have stayed in all 3 all star resorts. We would do it again instead of staying at Pop; that was way louder with more kids running around at all hours (and we had a kid with us).
If you want to vacation at WDW and don’t care about all the extra frills then you need to stay here.

  4. I have stayed at movies before covid and after covid my latest visit staying there was in May I loved all the new changes I will only stay at Valley Resorts because I’m not in the room very much the pool area is really nice to my granddaughter had fun swimming and the on-site restaurant was pretty good
