It’s the weekend so you know what that means…

Last week was mostly sitcom until the last 10 minutes, but then the plot turned up to 11 leaving us with the biggest cliffhanger yet!

Read my Recap of Episode 3 Here!

We’ve got a lot of questions going into this week — will they finally reveal know the real identity of Geraldine?  We’ve know it’s been Monica Rambeau all along, but now that she’s been cast outside Westview, what will we learn?! Will Jimmy Woo finally make an appearance? And are we getting a cheesy 80’s sitcom opening?!

SPOILER ALERT: This post will dig deep into this week’s episodes plot and theories for the rest of the show. If you haven’t watched it yet, turn back now!

1. Is that…Captain Marvel I hear??

2. It looks like someone was snapped?

3. OMG OMG OMG IT’S THE REVERSE OF THE SNAP OMG OMG OMG MONICA BLIPPED.

4. I am FREAKING out seeing what people look like reverse-snapping.

5. Ok we 100% know she’s Monica now. And her mom died. THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR THE FIRST 2 MINUTES.

6. MARVEL LOGO. I gotta calm down.

7. S.W.O.R.D finally officially confirmed as Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division. So far this episode is lots of good info I predicted. (And by I, I mean my nerd husband and friends I watch this with.)

8. Director Tyler Hayward. I don’t know anything about you but I do not trust you immediately.

9. HER MOM ON THE WALL THIS IS TOO MUCH.

10. “[space] always was full of threats…and allies.” Is she talking about Talos the funny skrull from Captain Marvel?! (Why do I know this.)

11. FBI!?! That’s gotta be how we’re gonna see Jimmy Woo!!!

12. Her mom is grounding her as an adult. This is cute.

13. JIMMY WOO DID THE MAGIC TRICK FROM ANT-MAN OMG!!!!!!!!! GOOD FOR YOU JIMMY!!!!

14. Hmmm…wonder who’s Jimmy’s witness??

15. Westview doesn’t exist?! Well maybe cause Wanda made it?!

16. The helicopter Wanda sees!! But it looks different?!

17. Oh dang that sucked her in like Michael Jordan down the golf hole in Space Jam.

18. Darcy!!!! Haven’t seen you since Thor 2 which I tried hard to forget.

19. Radiation…that’s gonna have something to do with the mind stone?

20. OMG she’s gonna watch WandaVision?! How meta.

21. HAZMAT SUIT GUY IS GONNA COME OUT OF THE SEWER AND BE THE BEEKEEPER WANDA SAW IN EPISODE 2.

22. Someone get Darcy a coffee!!!

23. Ok so it was Darcy we saw at the end of episode one watching the show.

24. Why hexagonal shape?! Indeed. We keep seeing it in the openings too!

25. Interesting how they didn’t identify Agnes….

26.SHE CAN HEAR YOU JIMMY!! But she edited this part of the episode in post?

27. Oh wow the cord became an old school jumprope? And the hazmat suit became a beekeeper complete with bees?! It’s like Wanda changes outside forces to something she can understand in her reality?!

28. I love Jimmy Woo so much.

29. Wanda’s imaginary video editors are very good.

30. THE SCREEN RATIO IS CHANGING.

31. And they say not to mess with the Hulk when he’s angry…

32. * LITERALLY SHRIEKING AT VISION’S DEAD FACE *

33. “It’s all Wanda.” CHILLS.

WOW OK. What a shift from last episode which was hardly any plot…this was ALL PLOT.

We got some major questions answered (well, confirmed) but we have more to answer! We know 100% that Geraldine is Monica Rambeau, that Jimmy Woo is on the case, and we know how Darcy is involved. We also know Wanda is the cause of all this — but why? Is she coping with Vision’s death? Or something more sinister!?

We also didn’t get any Agnes this episode which bums me out, because she’s one of the biggest question marks. Hopefully we see her back next week…and we get our 80’s intro.

This episode is one of my favorites so far and I am shocked at how invested I am.

THEORIES SPOILER: Just like in past articles, I’m going to dig into some theories from the comics, internet, and my nerd friends now. If you don’t want to read any *possible* spoilers, stop reading now!

For me, the biggest questions now are who is Agnes? And who was Jimmy’s witness?!

It’s noteworthy that Agnes didn’t have any info on the board when they were identifying Westview citizens. I still hold by the Agatha Harkness theory I discussed last week, that she’s actually a famous dark witch from the comics. I mean…you don’t hire Kathryn Hahn for nothing!

Jimmy Woo mentions he had a witness inside that’s lost now. WHO COULD IT BE?! Is it Agnes? Is it Dottie, the other citizen we don’t see identified? Is it someone from another storyline we haven’t seen yet? The internet has theories of it being Vulture from Spider-man: Homecoming to Ralph, Agnes’ husband we have yet to see. No matter what, it’s gotta be someone important or why else would Jimmy bring that up?

There are also lots of theories about the devil being involved — thanks to Agnes’ cat being named Sr. Scratchy (Mr. Scratch is a nickname for the devil) and the quote “the devil is in the details…that’s not the only place he is” in earlier episodes. These could be references to comic character Mephisto, a demon who has woven plotlines with Agnes and Wanda. Some people theorize it may actually be the man (or woman) in the Hydra commercials we saw in episodes 2 and 3.

We’re going to have to keep watching to see where this all goes…but it’s safe to say that we’re hooked!

What did you think of Episode 4? Let us know in the comments!

  1. #8 and #18 lol.

    Best one yet.

My husband and I went back and rewatched Age of Ultron because we needed a refresher about Wanda’s past. It’s amazing how much I’d forgotten.

  2. Still loving your comments. It’s been fun watching you go from new at the Marvel stuff to an old pro. Mega bonus points for the Space Jam and reference.
