Lots of dining locations in Disney World have gradually reopened and we’re happy to see the return of some of our favorite spots.

Although many restaurants have started to open their doors and welcome guests once again, others still remain closed. We’re on the lookout for updates from these dining locations, hoping that they’ll be open again soon. Here are some of the spots in Disney World that are still closed (and that we miss the most)
‘Ohana
‘Ohana, the fan-favorite spot at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has yet to reopen. The restaurant offers Character Dining with friends like Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch! We’ve seen other Character Dining locations reopen, with modified character greetings, or without any characters at all.

A handful of other spots at the Polynesian Resort are currently open, like Kona Cafe and Tambu Lounge. Speaking of, if you are desperately missing the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding, we have been able to pick it up recently at Kona Cafe!
Jiko — The Cooking Place
Jiko at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is known for its African and Indian cuisine. This restaurant, along with Animal Kingdom Lodge as a whole, is still closed.

If you’re looking for some of that African-inspired cuisine, you can visit Sanaa to get your fix and try the delicious Bread Service it offers.
Takumi-Tei
We’ve seen some fluctuating reopenings from the restaurants in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion. Teppan Edo has reopened, Tokyo Dining has had two very limited reopenings, and Takumi-Tei has yet to reopen at all.

This restaurant typically offers upscale Japanese cuisine, including Maki Sushi, Wagyu Steak, Duck, and Sea Bass.
Tusker House
Another Character Dining location remains closed, Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here you’ll find friends like Mickey, Donald, and Daisy in their safari gear.

For alternative dining locations in Animal Kingdom, some of your options include Yak & Yeti, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Satu’li Canteen.
Casey’s Corner
This Main Street staple is known for serving up (sometimes over-the-top) hot dogs and fries! Although many Quick Service spots in Magic Kingdom have reopened, service at Casey’s Corner is still on pause.

Luckily, Main Street and the Cinderella Castle Hub offer lots of snacks at spots like the Confectionary, Main Street Bakery, and popcorn carts!
Columbia Harbour House
We can’t have a list of most missed restaurants without bringing up Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom! Out of every restaurant on this list, this might be the one we get asked about the most.

However, while it’s not available for dining at the moment, there is good news! You can currently pick up a very similar looking menu over at Tomorrowland Terrace!
There are a handful of other spots in Disney World that haven’t reopened just yet, but we’ll be sure to share any updates with you! Follow along with us for more Disney World news!

Big big disappointment when we went in the fall was the limited dining experiences. Not everyone appreciates a burger, bugs, or turkey leg at every meal and truly not thinking about placing orders ahead of time for other quick service. Less magic because of this. Conversely, spent insane dollars on alcohol just to make it less painful. Won’t be back for some time, my liver can’t handle it.
I want Columbia Harbor House too! My wife and I were sad it was closed when we went in October.
With the line for Peter Pan winding thru Harbour House I don’t see it opening soon.
Give me back Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto! That is my wife & my favorite weekly date night spot & we miss it so much…. BANG, BANG! TWO SHOTS OF RUM!!
What is their reason for not opening? What are they afraid of?
