News! Pixar Announces New Feature Film, ‘Turning Red,’ is Coming in 2022

Today has been a BIG day for Disney movie news!

The Walt Disney Company announced a LOT of new movies at their Investor Day — including Hocus Pocus 2, an Enchanted Sequel, and its 60th animated feature film Encanto!

Pixar also announced new series and films — including a new full length feature Lightyear, which stars Chris Evans! But this isn’t the only new movie coming from the beloved studio, as Pixar shared they are making another new film called “Turning Red!”

Turning Red will tell the story of Mei, a 13 year old going through puberty. Just like any teenager, life is awkward — except when Mei gets too excited, she turns into a giant fluffy red panda. Super awkward.

Turning Red is planning to hit theaters on March 11, 2022! We will keep you updated with new details as they are released, about this and all of the new Pixar content!

  1. It would be amazing if Disney partners with RedPanda Earth (largest animal charity cryptocurrency in the world) to highlight our endangered species. Red Pandas are facing extinction and this is a great opportunity for Disney to work with companies like RedPanda Earth
