We have a whole queue full of movies and shows that we are slowly, but surely getting through on Disney+.

As more entertainment heads to different sectors of the Walt Disney Company, a few major changes will be re-organizing how its businesses operate.

Deadline has revealed additional details about the streamlining of Disney’s media and entertainment businesses. Distribution and commercialization have been turned into one unit under the Media and Entertainment Distribution sphere, led by Kareem Daniel. However, content creation has been separated into Studios, General Entertainment, and Sports, led by Alan Horn and Alan Bergman, Peter Rice, and Jimmy Pitaro respectively.

Peter Rice has now unveiled the structure of the General Entertainment Content section. In his statement, he noted that “We will be responsible for content strategy, development, greenlighting, casting, production, talent management and budget management for all the entertainment and news that DGE creates.”

Gary Marsh has been named as the president and chief creative officer of Disney Branded Television. While he previously was the president and chief officer, he will oversee the Disney television and Disney+ content made by DGE, as well as series and specials.

A new direct report will be headed by National Geographic’s Courtney Monroe, as changes in titles and responsibilities for existing direct reports will be handled by Gary Marsh and Dana Walden. Plus, the restructuring of the General Entertainment Content’s restructuring of the division’s marketing operations will be led by Shannon Ryan, Jayanta Jenkins, and Stephanie Gibbons.
