Harry Potter Snacks We Want to See NEXT in the Wizarding World

While magic is pretty cool in itself, we think one of the best parts of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the food!

Hogwarts

Whether we’re in the mood for a Chocolate Frog, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans (never again!), or a classic Butterbeer, there are tons of great snacks to choose from in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.

But there are some eats from the Harry Potter books and films that didn’t make the cut — not yet, at least. These are the Harry Potter snacks we want to see next!

Hagrid’s “Happee Birthdae Harry” Cake

Let’s start with a snack from the very first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. When Hagrid comes to collect Harry on his 11th birthday, the news of his wizardry isn’t the only thing he delivers. Hagrid also brings along a birthday cake for Harry, which looks absolutely delicious — despite the creative spelling.

And the pretty pink and green icing already matches the color scheme of Honeydukes perfectly. If this decadent dessert makes its way onto the menu, we would be “happee” to give it a try.

Treacle Tart

We think this one is a given since it’s the favorite dessert of none other than Harry Potter himself! A treacle tart is a traditional English dessert made with shortcrust pastry, golden syrup, breadcrumbs, and lemon juice.

Treacle tarts are normally served hot with a dollop of clotted cream, but they can also be served cold. So this is a versatile snack that can be enjoyed in several different ways, much like Butterbeer!

Professor Lupin’s Chocolate Bars

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, when Harry has his first encounter with a Dementor on the Hogwarts Express, Professor Lupin is there to save the day. After casting his Patronus to rid them of the intruder, he also gives Harry a piece of chocolate to help counteract the impact of the Dementor.

Sure, there are plenty of chocolate treats available in The Wizarding World. But we would love to see one that pays homage to one of our favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts professors!

Liquorice Wands

Another sweet treat that is offered on the Hogwarts Express trolley, we think liquorice wands would make a wonderfully Instagramable treat. Especially for witches and wizards who have yet to be matched with their wand in Ollivanders.

Here’s a REAL Wand in The Wizarding World!

We think this treat would be a fun addition at Honeydukes!

Hagrid’s Rock Cakes

Well, we started off the list with a Hagrid delicacy, so we might as well finish off with one, too! While Hagrid’s rock cakes in the book are infamously hard and tasteless, we think the pastry chefs in The Wizarding World could have a lot of fun putting their own creative spin on an elevated (and more edible) rock cake.

Rock cakes are similar to scones, so they would make a great treat to pair with a hot cup of coffee or a glass of pumpkin juice!

From the Leaky Cauldron to Honeydukes, we love tasting all of the magical eats in The Wizarding World. But we’re always willing to try even more treats! These are the Harry Potter snacks that we want to see added to the menu next!

  1. I think they should put in a Madame Puddifoot’s Tea Shop and they can have Hagrid’s ‘Birthdae’ cake and rock cakes and the treacle tart on the menu with other British pastries and such. Only maybe less pink than in the book.

  2. I bought a pumkin pasty in the Wizarding world before. As far as I know, they’ve always carried them. Molly even said she ordered 2 like in the movies.
