Halloween this year is going to be VERY different with both Disney World and Universal Orlando having canceled their events as a health and safety precaution.

Although the Tribute Store is back up at Universal and Disney’s parks will receive fall decorations soon, many of the experiences we all love having at this time of the year are postponed.
But, if you’re still wanting to get some thrills and chills for Halloween, a Scream n’ Stream Haunted Drive-Thru will be coming to Orlando this year according to Attractions Magazine! Visitors will be able to drive their car out of the real world and into a horror movie during the event.

The contactless performance will have an original story 90’s slasher movie story line called “Night At the Die-In.” While there will be live performers, the event will also include special effects, sound, sets, props, and lighting to give everyone hot-and-cold running chills.

It’s important to note that drivers will need a valid driver’s license and to sign a liability waiver ahead of time. Everyone must maintain a speed of only three miles per hour as they go through the event. But, if you’re visiting with a younger group, there will also be a family friendly Drive-Boo Trick-r-Treat event too with contactless Halloween candy!

There are different levels of experiences so some people can experience the Drive-Thru and have a Private Drive-In Cinema. If guests go through with the movie experience, they will park in a reserved stall, connect their phone or tablet to the Scream n’ Stream project, and watch one of their favorite scary movies on a 96-inch screen exclusive to their car.

The pre-sale tickets available are for $35 for the Drive-Boo Trick-or-Treating only for the entire car, $45 for the Drive-Thru Haunt only for the entire car, and the Drive-Thru Haunt and Private Cinema package for $99. The Scream ‘n Stream even will be hiring people that are out of work and donating 20% of its net proceeds to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to help the community during this time.

Guests must wear a CDC-recommended face mask to enter the event, whenever their car windows are rolled down, or when they exit their cars to make a purchase or use the restroom. There will be a health questionnaire give to people in the cars before visiting, and people who aren’t feeling well will not be permitted inside (with no refund).

Scream ‘n Stream will start on September 25th and run on certain days through November 1st. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets online here! We’ll keep you updated with other Halloween experiences that will be taking place in and out of the theme parks soon!
