Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have officially reopened after closing in late February.
Tokyo Disney was originally expected to reopen in May, but then extended their reopening to today, July 1st. Today, Disney Parks Blog shared a few photos and a video to mark the grand r-opening of the theme parks.
We can see some of the new procedures demonstrated in the photos Disney released below. Social distancing markers are placed on the ground for line queues and sanitization has increased for high-touch areas like guard rails.
Disney has implemented many new health and safety protocols for guests to adhere to while visiting the theme parks. Much like the theme parks in the U.S., guests will be required to take a temperature check, wear masks, and following social distancing guidelines.
The short video Disney released depicts Tokyo Disney greeting the day at sunrise. The Disney fountains are bubbling, it’s a small world has opened the doors to the clock tower, and the Tokyo Disneyland train has revved up its engine!
It’s only the first day of Tokyo Disney opening to the public, but we will continue to bring you updates as we learn more about the reopening as well as other Disney Parks like Walt Disney World!
