As we gear up for the Walt Disney World reopening, we’re still keeping an eye on measures other Disney parks around the world are taking in their reopening procedures.

Shanghai Disneyland started a new trial run today with one of their attractions in an effort to tweak guest queuing and add a better overall experience.
Guests looking to stop by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Shanghai Disneyland, per twitter user @gourmetdyy, are going to need to grab a Standby Pass.

Currently, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is the only attraction in which guests will need to snag a Standby Pass. You can secure your pass on the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App.

If you’re wondering what a Standby Pass is, don’t worry, you’re not alone! This pass is designed to allow guests to select a time window in which they can return to the selected attraction to wait in line. The goal is to allow for a more relaxing guest experience and tame the lines a bit.

Passes are being released hourly on a first-come, first-served basis and the final batch will be available roughly two hours before the closing of the park.

In order to secure one of these passes, you’re going to need the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App and you and your party’s ticket. Once your selected time window begins, simply head over to the Standby Pass return entrance at the selected attraction. Once you’re there, all you have to do is either show the QR code in your app (under My Plan) or scan your park ticket.

Guests who are familiar with Disney FastPass+ or Disneyland’s Maxpass system will recognize this as a similar process that allows you to select a time in which you’d like to visit the attraction. While the Standby Pass is currently only applicable to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, we’ll keep an eye on how Shanghai Disneyland is using this time to test out some new features.
