However, recently guests with upcoming reservations have begun being notified that they will be cancelled, signaling that Disney will likely not be opening in the next few weeks.

Guests with resort hotel bookings at Disney World and Disneyland through May 16th, 2020 have been informed by Disney that their stay will be impacted by Disney’s closures.

Those with reservations that have been impacted by the closure are being given the option to modify or cancel their booking altogether. While Disney has not announced a reopening date for the parks, the news of May reservations being cancelled doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as we have seen neighboring Universal Orlando say that their closure will last through May 31st or later.

If you have a vacation that was impacted by the closures, remember that you may be eligible for Disney World’s special offer if you modify the dates of your trip!

  1. Just got canceled for a May 14 trip. Have the option of doing the free dining if book between June and Sept 30. Realistically, what is the likelihood of the park reopening before Sept and being relatively fully operational by Sept? Already dealing with airlines and prepaid tickets so don’t want to end up moving things again if Florida looks like it will be shut for some time.
