We’ve known that Disney has been brewing up a sequel for Disney+, but we’ve finally learned who is going to be directing the Sanderson Sisters in this follow-up!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Adam Shankman, known for his work on Hairspray, has been tapped as the director for the sequel to the 1993 film. He will be working with a script penned by Workaholics writer and co-producer Jen D’Angelo.

The OG Sanderson sisters, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, have not signed on as of now to reprise their roles, so we’re crossing our fingers they’ll return. It just wouldn’t be Hocus Pocus without them!

The film has no scheduled release date as of now, and Shankman will also be directing a sequel to Disney’s Enchanted, so we’ve got a few exciting sequels from him coming in our future!
