Egg-Cellent! Disney World’s Chocolate Easter Egg Display at the Grand Floridian

One of the most amazing displays throughout the year is the chocolate Easter Eggs at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The pastry team has been hand-decorating these gorgeous eggs for almost 25 years!

Every year, they re-create old favorites as well as beautiful new creations! We “hopped” over to the Grand Floridian today to check out the 2019 display, and they are just GORGEOUS!

It’s hard to believe these are made out of baking ingredients such as chocolate, fondant, and sculpted sugar pieces!

They are truly works of art. Here’s a closer look at some of the eggs that were newly created for 2019.

Fans of Pongo and Perdita will recognize these adorable pups!

Did you see Mary Poppins Returns? Then perhaps this carriage-driving canine will look familiar. Also notice Polly laying next to the egg.

OOOOOOH! The Claw!

There’s also this very plump and adorable Frog Prince.

And check out this classically drawn Alice, who is hanging out with a fellow storybook classic character, Humpty Dumpty.

Another new egg this year features “A Starry Night” by Van Gogh.

This adorable Up! egg might just be my favorite of the new eggs this year.

Little (and big!) princesses will adore this precious egg.

And look out for this tiny hidden Mickey!

And Moana fans will LOVE this stunning Te Fiti egg.

The Three Caballeros are also making an appearance at the fiesta…

…as is Coco!

And it’s no surprise Dumbo joined as well, having just soared into theaters.

Perhaps the most special of all the new eggs is this one. It’s dedicated to Ms. Ellen, a cast member who has worked with the Disney pastry teams for close to 30 years. She is known for designing the giant Gingerbread House every year, and is retiring in May. The egg designed in her honor features photos of all of the eggs she has designed in the past.

There are also many eggs of years past on display for your viewing pleasure.

Also new this year, they are selling adorable Easter-themed treats, much like do they with the gingerbread treats at Christmas time.

Check out “The Grand Egg,” which is a giant, dark chocolate egg, filled with jellybeans.

Or perhaps grab a traditional “Hot Cross Bun.” These are served warm. YUM!

The Chocolate Easter Eggs at the Grand Floridian will be on display through Sunday, April 28. The treats will be on sale through Easter Sunday (April 21), but we’ve already heard they may extend the date to Friday, April 26. Currently, the treats are available for purchase between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
