This was our 4th time staying at a Disney Resort and our 1st time at CBR. After reading other reviews I was a little hesitant but CBR exceeded my expectations! We stayed from May 2-9 in building 32 in Trinidad North. The refurbished rooms are beautiful and gave our family of 5 plenty of space. We used the quiet pool more than the main pool due to location but both were wonderful. The food court was standard fare but the lines moved quickly and there was always plenty of available seating. Transportation was much better than expected. We hardly ever waited for a bus and only had to stand twice. Note: buses have two routes. Some pick up at Jamaica first and end at Trinidad South. The others begin at Martinique and end at Barbados. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back!

Pros:

everything!

Review of Chip and Dale Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill

Our family of 5 ate here on May 2,2015. We had the dining plan so I'm not sure how much we paid. The restaurant was very nice. Our table had a great view of Living with the Land. We were able to meet Chip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey. The food was okay. We were served salad, rolls, turkey, beef, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, macaroni and cheese, broccoli and rice. I can honestly say that there wasn't a single item that really stood out to me... It was all just okay. I only recommend this meal to families with small children or those who enjoy bland food.

Pros:

Friendly staff, characters

Cons:

Food was just okay

Review of Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast

We finally ate in the Castle! I had been looking forward to this breakfast probably more than my kids, we went for Mother's Day. The Castle is beautiful.. When you first enter, you join a line to meet and do photos with Cinderella. Photos are also no longer included in the price. This initial photo with Cinderella is scanned to the Disney PhotoPass that can be purchased at a later time. Then you ascend the beautiful spiral staircase to the very small dining room. The waiter we had was not very enthusiastic. The kids were handed their gifts (wishing stars for both, a wand for my daughter and a sword for my son). No beverages were offered except orange juice and coffee. We did ask for milk for the kids and they were given it. A single plate of pastries is brought to the table to share, refills were not offered. Each person chooses their meal, with very small portions. The kids each got 2 french toast sticks, bacon and a scoop of scrambled eggs. My husband and I got a scoop of scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon and a handful of breakfast potatoes. We had to track down the waiter for seconds, and he brought one more scoop of eggs to share. Tip is automatically included.
The princess make their rounds around the restaurant for pictures and autographs. The restaurant is so small that all photos are cramped at the table or banging elbows with neighboring table patrons. I didn't feel that the kids received as much attention as they have at other character meals.
Overall, I am glad we finally got to eat in the castle, but it will probably be the last and only time we do. I did not think it was at all worth the cost and the hassle for the reservation.

Pros:

atmosphere, dining in the Castle!

Cons:

very small, disappointing food

Review of All Star Sports Resort (Value Resort)

We stayed May 9-12, 2015. As a new Florida resident, the rate here was too good to pass up. We have stayed at several moderate and deluxe resorts in the past but have not stayed in a value resort for many years. I had read some pretty crazy negative reviews and was concerned but didn't want to pay 100 more per night to upgrade to a moderate and we don't spend lots of time in the room. I am happy to say, we had a great experience. The check in staff were so nice and our room was ready when we arrived around 1230. We were in building 9 on the first floor in a standard room. The walk was manageable to the main building and transportation. The room was clean, it smelled great, the towels were fine. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were even good, they did provide shampoo and soap. I did not hear anyone from the rooms above or beside me. Even though I could see some middle school groups in the common areas, I never heard them and they were not disruptive. The foot court was always clean, the food was as good as food court food can be, we ate dinner there one time but went presently to refill our mugs. I compare it to a Fairfield Inn…you know you aren't getting a Marriott concierge level, but you get a nice clean comfortable room for the price. Overall I was happy we made this choice and we will stay here again when we go back in August.

Pros:

Nice, Clean, Friendly Staff

Cons:

We had never experienced CRT before and thought this might be a nice Mother's Day meal since Cinderella is my fav Princess.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation but were seated within 10 minutes. We didn't get to have our photo taken with Cinderella as she was 'headed to tea'. She also never once made an appearance during our meal. We did get photos with Snow White, Rapunzel, Aurora and Ariel. The food was just OK. The Chef's Tasting Plate was odd, but we're adventurous eaters so we dived in. The only thing that seemed really enjoyable was the hummus. I had the Gnocchi with Seasonal vegetables. it was ok, but there was an overpowering spice that I had a difficult time getting past. I think it was cinnamon. DS had pan Seared Salmon which he enjoyed and DH had the Short Ribs. Both enjoyed their meal very much.

We all had 'The Clock Strikes Twelve' for dessert.. it was very good.

Overall, while the food was alright, it wasn't spectacular by any means and after all, you are paying for the experience more-so than the food. The Character encounters were fun... Rapunzel was hilarious and had us giggling almost the entire meal. The other Princesses were wonderful and completely in character.. it was amazing to watch them as they never break character even a tiny bit.

I booked CRT and enjoyed for the experience but, it's likely only to be a 'once is enough' experience for us.

Pros:

Princesses

Cons:

Food, No Cinderella, felt a little rushed

I can't say enough about this restaurant. Our server Joann was fantastic! It was my son's 17th birthday and she brought him out a card that thanked the 'Young Prince' for sharing his birthday celebration with them, signed by Belle and The Beast. She also brought him a plate with 'The Grey Stuff' and Happy Birthday Prince T' written in raspberry sauce.

I had the French Onion Soup for an appetizer along with the small french rolls they bring to your table. This was a meal in itself. A bowl full of savory onion soup and croutons bubbling over with Gruyere cheese.. it was amazing. DS & DH shared the 'Assorted Cured Meats and Sausage' - they loved it.

DS and I both ordered the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops and DH ordered Braised Pork. Both were absolutely delicious and very large...lol. I couldn't finish mine and DS barely finished his.

I had triple Chocolate something for dessert and it was yummy. Son had a brownie iced in Grey Stuff along with a plate of more Grey Stuff for his Bday. DH had cheesecake.

after dinner, we were told to walk around into the other rooms and take photos, which we did. he West wing was beautiful and I wished we would have dined there, but it was even darker than the Grand ballroom where we had our dinner, which was dim enough. The Rose room was pretty as well, better lighting. We then made our way over to the Study where we had our photos taken with The Beast.

Not once did we feel rushed or ignored. Everyone was attentive and kind and it made for a 'magical' experience. Our server was wonderful and very friendly. We will definitely be doing this again!

Pros:

Beautiful Atmoshphere, Delicious Menu

Cons:

A bit too dark.

We arrived for our reservation early and were seated promptly. Our server was on top of things from the start. We were celebrating my son's birthday and she brought him a Birthday card signed by the characters along with a cupcake.

The choices at the buffet were limited, but all were good. not spectacular, just OK.

The characters made the rounds twice while we were there and we got photos with all of them.

If we were to do this again, it would be for the character experience and not so much about the food.

Pros:

Character Experience

Cons:

Food ws just OK

One of our favorite experiences while on vacation in WDW!

Food was wonderful.. and ohhh that juice! The character interactions were wonderful.. they didn't seem to rush as I have seen many post, but then again, the dinning room wasn't jam packed like it is in peak season either.

Overall, will definitely do this again!

our reservation was for 9:45 p.m. We had no idea we'd get to enjoy the fireworks over the castle while there, so that was a very nice bonus.

Food for the most part was delicious, but our server did tend to drag and forget to refill drinks.. and forgot about shrimp skewers altogether. We had to wave her down for them and then she only came by once with it. The Chicken and Steak were plentiful.

Loved the salad and potstickers!

Will try again in the future.

Food

Loved our breakfast here!!! I had the Tonga Toast.. I am still dreaming about it 5 days later. DS &DH had the Big Kahuna.. they loved it as well.. I have to say that the sausage is the best I've had.

The Lilikoi'i juice is to die for... if i could figure out the recipe, I'd make it at home!

We also ordered the French press - amazing... I could get used to that every morning!

Overall, one of the best breakfasts we've had. Will definitely do this one again!

Everything
