Very disapointing! Big change since I ate here in 2010! Back then our whole party loved it! Ate here again over Marathon weekend with DH mostly because he loves the parmesean mashed potatoes. This time they were terrible! And the rest of the food was just mediocre. It was nice to see the characters and our server was nice but for the two of us, it cost about $90 including tip. Was not worth it and have crossed off our "must eat at" list.

Ate here on marathon weekend. Would liked to have sat outside on the boardwalk but the wait was 20 minutes and DH and I were starving since we'd run the 1/2 that AM. Got seated inside right away. Server was pleasant and attentive. Both of us ordered a basic burger and thought it was delicious. I'm very picky about my hamburgers so that is a compliment. However, I failed to notice that it only came with potato chips and not french fries. Because I didn't notice, not sure if it was possible to request fries. So found that to be a bit dissapointing. Also, $14.95 is pretty expensive for a hamburger and potato chips.

Pros:

Great burgers

Cons:

bit expensive

Review of 50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch/Dinner

We ate here on 12/9/12 for lunch with an ADR. I got one of their specialty drinks with a glowing ice cube and a Mickey cup so my DD could play with it. Our family is all vegetarian so DH got the veggie pasta with neatballs and I got an off-menu veggie burger. The veggie burger would have been better on a roll and with cheese, but it was still tasty. It was fun watching the other tables and seeing who was in trouble for not eating their veggies or for being a tattle tale.

Pros:

People watching, took our ADR quickly, brought food out fast

First time stay here and DH and I were very happy with this resort. From the beginning, greeted by a cast member and brought to check in. Only had a standard room but found it sufficient for our needs. I loved grabbing a coffee from the lounge in the am and sitting on the porch. Lots of choices for meals either on boardwalk or resorts nearby. Can see it being limiting to families with children regarding meal options. I'm a fan of Epcot, being able to walk there was great. Polynesian is still our fav resort but would def stay here again!

Pros:

atmosphere, service, proximity to epcot and HS

Cons:

none

In general, I don't like QS and I don't like eating at Animal Kingdom Park because the vegetarian selections outside of Tuskers are pretty dismal and limited. We ate here 12/6/12 for lunch. The cast members were all friendly and doing their best, but the veggie sandwich was very mediocre, though huge. The veggie sandwiches at the Studios were better. The side of Mac-n-cheese I got for my toddler was sort of gross, but the CMs were super nice and gave us the pail and shovel that come with kids meals. The pail and shovel have been a HUGE hit, and we used them at our hotel and in the snow. I would prob eat here again over Pizzafari which was dreadful, but the food choices at this park are definitely a negative.

Pros:

The free pail and shovel with kids meals

Cons:

mediocre food

I'm not a big quick service fan, but we ate dinner here the day we visited the Studios 12/9/12 because it had a vegetarian option, it was already nearly 8 and we didn't want to do sit down with our toddler. They were super nice and took us even though they were trying to close for the night. Their vegetarian sandwich was better than the one at AK and the gingerbread cupcake was amazing. It wasn't super sweet and the frosting was a tangy cream cheese one and not buttercream, definitely worth the calories!

Pros:

The gingerbread cupcake!

Cons:

It seemed like it could be noisy when crowded

Review of Disney's Yacht Club Concierge Level

We booked a standard view room concierge level from 12/4-12/10 to celebrate my birthday with an Annual Pass discount. We were met when getting off the Magical Express by a cast member who greeted us by name and helped us inside. She called upstairs to concierge and since there was a small wait there, checked us in immediately downstairs. Check-in was super quick (again, just like in Oct when we were not concierge) and then lead us upstairs. I loved our room, yes it was standard view, but the view was quite pleasant and it was not a long walk to anything but still quiet. We got a surprise of birthday balloons and some candy from the concierge staff which my DD loved.

Every cast member I met on concierge level was just lovely. They made me feel like I was visiting royalty. One night when we weren't going to back in time for dessert, they brought some back to our room and left it in the mini fridge for us since they said this was their favorite dessert and we had to try it. (And they were so good too, they were these delicious Oreo bon-bons!) I liked the food served in the lounge. My 2 year old DD loved the mini bagels and enjoyed that there was a TV, tables and chairs set up specifically for little kids. The mid-day snacks were the weakest part of the food service, but then most people are out at the parks so what was on offer was fine to me. Our family is vegetarian, yet we always found something to try during the dinner/appetizer time period and it was so nice to have fresh vegetables readily available. Dessert was super yummy too. We never had a problem getting a seat, though we did tend to eat breakfast later.

Dan in particular was super nice and helped me to get the reservation I wanted for lunch at the Prime Time Cafe as well as helped me make a reservation for dinner for our unexpected extension of our trip. The regular cast members of the Yacht were also amazing. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. I felt like we were recognized and remembered and were more than just people staying at a hotel. When our flight home got unexpectedly canceled and rebooked for 2 days later, the cast members at the Yacht were an enormous help! They found us another room, tried to rescue our luggage from the airport and did everything in their power to make our two extra days as enjoyable as our planned vacation.

This was our first name staying concierge and it was really lovely. I love the location for the Yacht and we all adore the pool. I think the hotel is my favorite I've stayed at now. Our trip was so amazing, we're going to stay here Concierge again at the end of January.

Pros:

The staff, the staff, the staff!!!

This is one of our favorite quick-service restautants in Disney. We've never had a bad meal here. My husband likes the shrimp basket or the fish and chips basket. They are both good. They've changed the menu up from our last visit and it's still just as good with a great variety. I got the broccoli salad that was a good portion, had a nice variety of ingredients, and is delicious! The sandwiches are always tasty too.

One of the other nice things about this restaurant is that we never have a problem finding a seat. There is a nice seating area upstairs that can be a nice 'escape' from Disney craziness!

Enjoy!

Pros:

Fresh, different, and tasty food

Thankfully we got here early and got to ride the more popular rides before the crowds poured in. Teamboat Springs is a really fun family ride. The chair lift line got so long that we opted to climb the stairs. I know I'm not in the best shape, but I thought I was going to have a heart attack...so many stairs! The lines for most rides were nearly an hour. The Creek was packed! It was wall-to-wall inner tubes (if you could even get a tube). Many people were just walking along the creek. Also, it was hard to find chairs, although they were mostly empty. As is often the case, people "reserve" chairs with a towel and never use them. My biggest complaint is about the rough/dangerous surfaces on the bottom of the pools. My husband flipped off his raft at the bottom of a slide and had about 15 inches of cuts and scrapes along his back. We had to go to first aid for numerous large bandages. Later in the day my daughter was knocked down by the waves in wave pool and cut her knee. Back to first aid again. I was sorry for my daughter and husband, but also felt disgusted to think this happens to others and how much blood gets in the water. After 20+ trips I can finally say I went to Blizzard Beach, but I'm not rushing to get back. The best thing would be to get there early, rides the big rides, eat some donuts (yum!) and leave, but given the price of tickets that's an expensive few hours. Wear water shoes...surfaces are rough and hot.

Pros:

teamboat springs, donuts

Cons:

crowded, long lines, rough surfaces, lots of stair climbing

This was our first experience at this restaurant and considering it is one of Disney's Signature restaurants I guess we were expecting a little bit more.

The atmosphere and service were good so no complaints there. There were 7 of us in the group and we didn't feel rushed either.

My husband got the appetizer portion of the Cobb Salad and I got the Crab Spring rolls. My spring rolls were delicious and the piece of crab claw was fantastic! Too bad there weren't more of those on there. My husband didn't say too much about his salad.

I ordered the Cobb Salad as my dinner entree as this is their 'signature' dish. I wish I had tried some of my husband's appetizer portion because if I did, I would have changed my dinner entree order. The lettuce tasted like it had been put through a blender! It was so chopped up it was mushy. The toppings were good but not like a 'wow!' It just wasn't that great. On the other hand, my husband loved his Seafood Cioppino. Our friend got the Duck Two Ways and enjoyed that too!

Considering the prices and not totally loving it, I don't think we'll go back here.

Pros:

Used our Tables in Wonderland card

Cons:

mushy lettuce
