The wait for food was long and I asked for medium rare on 4 steak, all were over-cooked like cook well. Manager did ask if we want to exchange but we didn't because didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for the steak. The music here is too noise and can't have any conversation, not good for kids here.

We visited this resort August 27th through September 3, 2017. It was a great visit. We had a beautiful room with double windows and a very large bathroom/dressing area combo. We were steps away from the river and the view was magnificent. The check in process was smooth and our hostess Alex was pleasant and friendly. The food court was busy but the food was decent. The only downside was the wait for the bus every night. The lines were super long and one night we took the bus for the french quarter because the wait time for Riverside was extra long. This bus then picked up the guests waiting at the Riverside queue. One morning we took uber for $10 and it was worth every penny. I'm planning a return trip!
Pros:
Room view, room cleanliness, wonderful staffCons:

My family and I just got back last Saturday (Sept. 2, 2017) and we were at the lodge for a week. Our standard view was upgraded to a garden view and we were able to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our room. The addition of new DVC cabins did not make the resort feel over crowded as the ones at the GF made us feel.
With new topiary and lounge added plus a new zero entry pool the lodge still has a very relaxed feel. Spotlessly clean and each and every CM we encountered was fantastic.
The Roaring Forks rehab was done and though we enjoyed it I would have loved to see a veggie burger on the menu LOL. The rooms are smaller than other deluxes as we did miss the pull out couch however we still absolutely loved the Lodge and would happily return.

Love the changesCons:

We shared a classic poutine. I have never been to Canada to try this dish before, but we all enjoyed it. I had never tried cheese curds before, and now I love them! This is a great place to share a snack or eat for lunch!

We ate here on July 7, 2017. We were a group of nine. We had such a great time! The service was perfect...attentive but not annoying. We all enjoyed our meals. Several of us got the beef tenderloin. Super yummy! We also asked the server if we could change up the sides with our entrees, and she said that was perfectly fine. All the sides were spot on! We also ordered some seasonal dessert flights, and those did not disappoint! We have been going to WDW for years, and I don't know how we have never tried this restaurant before! We definitely will be going back!

For value and taste, this is one of the best stops in Epcot for a delicious meal. I last ate here in mid-August. The fish and chips is consistently good. The same meal in the Rose and Crown is nearly twice the price. This is a great place to eat and no reservation needed.

We checked in Sept 6th around 6pm. NO wait. The person at check in seemed a little off or flustered, he didn't even have us set up our magic bands with a pin....thank goodness we didn't head out to dinner without them activated with a pin! (We went to the gift shop to pick up our mugs and that is when we were told we would have to go back to the front desk to activate it and set up a pin.... ugh ok.) We had already requested through our travel agent and upon my parents check in on Monday the 4th of Sept. that we be VERY near one another. They told my parents that they had it already set up. However, upon my check in there was no such record and even though we were in the same building and on the same floor we were VERY far apart. My mother was NOT happy, I just said that it was fine. (Not really, but what else could I do?) We went to Disney Springs for dinner and ate at Art Smiths Homecoming, and it was really good! DO NOT attempt to walk from DS to the Grandstand area of SS...it was a LONG walk!!!!!! I am sure that there was a quicker way, but we couldn't figure it out.
Our room was really nice and I liked the separate bath/sinks.
We just happened to arrive before Hurricane Irma, which also put a damper on our trip. We were scheduled to go home on Sunday the 10th, but my husband (back in NC) convinced us on Thursday night that we needed to head back home Friday morning! 🙁 We only got to stay Wed nt and Thurs nt...so didn't become really familiar with surroundings.
Upon check out we encountered another "OFF" employee. This was to the point of another employee telling her....you have a guest...to which she replied, "I know." (She had never acknowledged us in any way) I was already unhappy that I was having to leave early and you could tell she wasn't happy to wait on me or my Mom. ( I truly AM sorry that the employees were having to work knowing a hurricane was coming, I don't mean to sound cruel). We asked her several times if we would receive some sort of refund for at least our room portion. She said that she was sure we would....Not really the answer I was looking for, ya know? Still waiting for a credit to appear on my credit card...ugh!
All in all I am going to sum it up that I did enjoy the rooms, but will probably not stay here again....

I can not believe the high prices this place charges. Any other food court, including Dixie landings(port orleans riverside) next door is reasonably priced. Can not believe the cost difference, will not stay at here again. I like riverside SO much better anyway

My wife and I dined at Paddlefish on Sept 8. Save your money for another restaurant where the service and décor are friendlier.
Staff seemed friendly but once our order was taken the service became indifferent. Our plates were brought and just plopped down on the table. The staff seemed to be just going through the motions.
We both had the house salad which was indifferent. It was just lettuce and a few things like carrots with some tasteless vinaigrette.
I ordered a glass of wine and it was just brought to the table. Nobody asked if I liked it or asked if I wanted another when my glass was empty.
I had a fish special for dinner and my wife had fish and chips. My dinner was tasty but nothing special. Certainly not worth the price. Wife said the batter on her fish was too thick and peppery. She did not finish it. Once finished eating we sat looking at our dirty plates for what seemed like several minutes before they were taken away. I had to flag down our waitress to order coffee which arrived lukewarm. It came in a coffee press, the handle of which must be pushed down slowly so as not to get coffee grounds into the beverage. Our waitress just jammed the handle down and the result was crunchy coffee.
The décor is dreary. everything is in shades of gray. In some parts of the restaurant there are ceiling and wall decorations but not where we sat. White walls and gray floor. Blah. This restaurant is cold and harsh looking. It is definitely not worth the price much less the two credits it will cost those on the dining plan.
