We arrived at our home resort Poly on 9/21. We had ressies at 9:55am at Ohana since our flight didn't arrive until 745am. We went to check in and dropped our bags at Bell svcs and went upstairs to check in. There was a line wrapped all around the top floor almost to Kona Cafe to get in line to get a pic of Stitch. I have read on line that he no longer goes around at breakfast. You stand in line get a pic then check in for meal. We waited over 30 min. Then you felt rushed. He did sign autograph books as I also read that Disney was doing away with that and giving you a signed card. Didn't see that anywhere. After getting pic we went to be seated. It was our luck that the characters had just finished being in our area and was starting over again at the other side of the restaurant. Our waiter came and stared to bring food. He never asked what we wanted to drink. My husband asked twice for a bloody mary and did finally get it but we were just about done eating. The juice they serve is sweet and my kids didn't like it but I know others do. They would have preferred water or soft drinks which wasn't offered. The food was ok. The pineapple bread was sweet and no one liked except for myself. The biscuits were hard like they had been under a heat lamp too long and the eggs were runny. Family liked the ham, sausage and fruit. They brought out cupcakes for anniversary and ds bday. We did this since our flight was so early in am and we wanted to eat before going over to Epcot for the day. Also my daughter wanted to get Lilo autograph. We had been done eating and waited for the characters to come and finally after about an hour they all came at once and wanted to get a group pic instead of individual. I wasn't happy with that at all. My dd9 did get a pic with Lilo and as long as she was happy I was ok. This will probably be a one and done with us. We are DVC & AP members and visit frequently and like so many other places for the quality of food. Visit here if you need to see Lilo because she isn't found anywhere else. *** My husband LOVED LOVED his Bloody Mary and oderes these drinks everywhere and he said this was the BEST ever!!!! He ordered it extra spicy.

Pros:

Meeting Lilo, stitch

Cons:

Waiting in line for Stitch

My husband and I started with the Tom Kha Soup. While it was delicious it only came with two shrimp. I would have preferred some mushrooms as well. I would love to get this recipe and give it my own flare. My daughter had the kids Grilled Beef. The portion was very tiny and it was burnt even though we asked for medium-well. We ordered the Wagyu Striploin and House-smoked Brisket. This was cooked beautifully. We shared this dish. We told the server about the overcooked kids meals and told them not to bother making a new one. They did come with a fresh plate despite our request which we turned away because she had already eaten some of our steak. Instead of just crediting the meal they offered us a fast past for Everest. I guess they can't give one's for Pandora. Given that it was late we didn't want to walk all the way over to Asia and I'm a little scared of roller coasters to begin with. We ended up giving away our fast past, so someone else benefited from our kids poorly cooked meal. I've had better fine dining before, so my rating reflects that.

Pros:

Great location near Pandora

Cons:

Portion sizes versus quality

We ate dinner the first night we arrived here. We stayed at Pop Century and made a special trip to POFQ since we have stayed there in the past. The jambalaya was so flavorful and delicious. It was not overly spicy or loaded up with rice. It has several pieces of sausage in it and went great with the cornbread that accompanied it.
My mother had the combo rib plate and loved how tender the meat was and how fresh her sides were.
My husband didn't stretch out of his comfort zone so he ordered the pizza which was also great.
We made a second special trip here just to have the beignets. Literally the best food there! I know for certain that on future trips to Disneyworld we will definitely be back.

Pros:

Great food, great environment!

Are here 9/24 late lunch early dinner 2:30pm ressies. We were at MK for MNNSHP and made ressies early so we could get back to POLY change and return for party. We checked in and waited about 20 min which was not built into my plans so my OCD was on overload. We haven't eaten here for breakfast many times and love it but wanted to try it for dinner so that we could enjoy the party without being hungry. We finally got seated and waiter was very nice and we explained our plans so he was very attentive. The food was all so good. everyone was hungry and ate plenty. It is the typical buffet so like most places on property had the same food options. We are ok with that and found plenty to eat. We ate fast maybe too fast because not all the characters had came around. I had told the rest of our party to go ahead back to resort to get ready as my dd9 was waiting to get Tigger. Our waiter came over to ask who we were still waiting for and I told him so he went to get him. However, on his way over another family kidnapped Tigger and took him to their very large table and he then got side tracked and visited the other half of the restaurant. If this was our first time being there I would have been upset but my daughter has all the autographs and she wanted to get back to resort to change as well. We enjoyed this meal and would do this again if need be. We did get actual autographs not the signed cards that people are posting on line about.

Pros:

Beautiful restaurant, good food, characters

Cons:

none

Ate here 9/21 late night after being in parks that day. It was our first day and wanted to get something after being in the pool to relax. Food options are limited and being a deluxe you would think they would have more options. We all ordered the italian sandwich which was very good and good size proportion but if I had to eat everyday at here that would be my only option. My dd9 got the hot dog which again limited options for kids as well. The server did give her the adult size portion which I appreciated because she did eat the whole thing. we ate outside so that was nice. The kids also ate breakfast there as they wanted to try the Tonga Toast and had a meal credit available. NO one could finish it #1 it was big #2 it was too sweet for them WE are DVC & AP members and this is our home resort so will be staying here again future however, We know that I will need to have food options in room since they are so limited

Pros:

outside eating area

Cons:

not enough choices

We ate her 9/24 the night of MNNSHP. WE had ate an early dinner at Crystal Palace that day and thought it would tide everyone over but it didn't so ate here late 930. it was only a few places open and since we were in that area we stopped. We ate here back in 06 and couldn't remember if we like it or not. I wish I did because the food was terrible. WE ordered hot dog, hamburger for party of 6. I dont know if it was a long night or what but nothing tasted good. WE are as we were hungry but probably wouldn't eat here again.

Pros:

only place open MNNSHP

Cons:

food quality awful

We always make this our lunch spot when in Animal Kingdom. We have eaten here countless times. There were changes made this time and we were a bit disappointed. Let me start by saying while the taste was still very good we were disappointed with the cut back in portion size. We were a group of 8 and we ALL LEFT HUNGRY from lunch. Although we were on the dining plan we couldn’t help but think if we were not we would have been very upset with the price we would have paid for lunch and the amount of food we received in our containers. Again.... the taste of good but what we were given was a few pieces of meet in our containers. Also we don’t like the new plastic containers!!!! We wish they would bring back the others. I would think they are not as environmentally friendly as well. Hoping this was a fluke day and next time we go back it will be up to Disney standards.... will give it one more chance.

Pros:

Taste, service

Cons:

Portion size

Review of All Star Music Resort (Value Resort)

My best friend and I were excited to stay on property since we usually try to cut costs and the first thing to go is the hotel stay. Even in the value resorts it typically costs close to 3 times as much as we pay for a much nicer room off property so we don't do it often. In my opinion a $120 room should feel at least a slight bit cushy.

I will say that we adore the layout and the theme of ASM and we enjoyed being immersed in the Disney bubble. The cast members were very friendly and our room was always cleaned very well. My biggest problem was with the beds. My bed creaked and thumped every time I got up and there was a huge dip in the middle. It felt like I was at grandma's house in the spare room lol. I didn't realize that I could have complained and they would have changed out the mattress until I got home and someone told me. That just sounded like I would be asking too much but Disney does go above and beyond.

We had asked for a room on the top floor in the Broadway section and got just what we asked for. It was very quiet there and we heard no noise from anyone around us. The rooms had everything you would need even if a bit smaller than your usual hotel room. The carpet needed replacing badly and this was the first time I have seen an area of Disney that was in need of a refurb. Usually everything on property looks new. Hopefully they'll get to that soon. All in all, we both decided that a value wasn't a good way to spend our money and that we would both rather stay off property if we were spending $120 a night and have a much more comfortable place to sleep and not have to bring my own coffee pot. For that price just outside the gates you can get a pretty luxurious room. Disney really needs to rethink what value means. Back in the day these rooms would be a value at $69 to $89 but those days seem long gone as we travel in the off season and it's well over $100. This type of room should max out at $79.

Pros:

Cute theme, on property

Cons:

pricey for what you get, very uncomfortable beds

We love this restaurant! We had stumbled upon this one trip and couldn’t wait to go back and take our family. We were thrilled when we went back for our vacation with our extended family and children and everyone loved it. It is a new restaurant to add to our list of favorites. Food delicious, great quality, friendly staff and atmosphere. Drinks were all on point. The only thing that we had a slight issue with is we asked for some additional noodles and dumplings and this took a very very long time. Service this night was a little slow (our kids wanted to get back into the park and were getting antsy) but other than that we loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Pros:

Delicious tasting food, friendly staff, portion size

Cons:

Slower service

I've eaten here for both lunch and dinner and we both decided that dinner is the way to go. At lunch I hated having to use the kiosks and tell someone what to punch in. It seemed very unorganized and trying to find a seat was awful. The food was mediocre but at least there were different options from all of the burgers and fries that the Magic Kingdom offers. I would say it's worth trying once but I would rather have a sit down meal.

Pros:

eating in Beasts castle, large capacity

Cons:

average food, very loud
