What happened to this place?? The Bakery used to be our first stop in the morning at MK, which used to have such a great selection of baked goods and such, but now it's really pathetic, no selection at all. Will miss the days of the real Main St Bakery very much.

We always grab a breakfast platter with eggs and french toast here for our mornings at Epcot, and can find a quiet corner to hide away in. It's unfortunate the other parks don't have counter service breakfast options, just breakfast sandwiches (I'm looking at you, Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom, doing away with breakfast... a stale tiny egg sandwich at Starbucks just doesn't cut it). For other meals there are lots of options too, even if it does get crazy busy for lunch and dinner.
Pros:
One of the few places left to get counter service breakfastCons:

Partner and I both had the chicken parm sandwich, which was not worth the money. The fries were fast food quality and nothing special. Our dining companions had the flatbreads which looked to be a better option, so if we ever eat here again may try those, which would be the only reason we come back.

THE FIRST THING I WANT TO SAY IS CHECK YOUR BILL CLOSELY. Ours had multiple mistakes. We were supposed to get a 20% DVC discount and they only took off about 2% until I called them on it. Also my sister-in-law was billed for a New York Strip steak even though she had a skirt steak. My glass of reposada which was listed on the menu as $14 was charged at $18.I ate here with my wife and sister-in-law on 6/4/16. We had reservations and were seated quickly. The waitress was personable and attentive. It was so loud we had to practically yell in order to be heard. There were several large groups around us including one with obnoxious drunks. The waitress brought our drinks and nachos quickly but it went downhill from there. My burrito was mostly dough and the steak inside was tough. My sister-in-law ordered rare skirt steak and they brought out a well done sirloin. The waitress took it back and appeared embarrassed.
Pros:

My wife and I ate here as part of the Jungle Book package. the package prices was much cheaper than if we had eaten here with regular menu prices. You get the same menu so it really is a great deal. Our waitress April was fantastic, she made great recommendations based on our different taste in food. My wife had the wagyu strip loin and short rib. It came too rare for her taste so April brought it back to the kitchen and came back with it perfect. I had the duck breast which was delicious. The popcorn lobster curried soup was not too spicy and very tasty. The grilled octopus was comparable to some I had eaten fresh from the Mediterranean. We will definitely eat here again when the River of Light show is open.

our waitress April, great foodCons:

My wife and I ate a late lunch/early dinner here on June 3rd. There were only a few other diners in the restaurant so we were able to sit and enjoy the view and our server told us to relax and enjoy. Our server Zachariah was very friendly and helpful. My wife is a picky eater but she loved the chicken and steak kabobs. I went with two small plates instead of an entree. The calamari was excellent and the order size was much greater than I expected for a small plate. Included with the order were also deep fried peppers which had a nice kick. The merguez lamb sausages were very flavorful and I will order again. After we finished eating the hostess came over to talk with us . The personal attention and hospitality of the staff was a nice change from the usual hurry up at many restaurants. We will definitely go back.

We are DVC members and had reservations for a split stay 3 days in a studio and then 3 days in 1 bedroom (couldn't get one room for the week all booked) at the Boardwalk the studio had Boardwalk view well we were on the 5th floor and facing the Boardwalk but the balcony was all wood wall and so high I couldn't see down so I called the front desk and in 30 mins we got a call back and were given a 1 bedroom with pool and garden view for the week. This was so wonderful, room was great redone and fresh and new. The people at the Boardwalk are so wonderful especially Queniveer she was so kind and helpful. But the Boardwalk staff are and have been so accommodating any time we had issues. Love staying there

Due to the heat and threat of storms my wife and I decided to watch the fireworks from here instead. The service was excellent. Very attentive waitress. The flatbread pizza was very good and reasonably priced. The habenero lime margaritas were excellent, good Patron tequila with a slight heat, not overly spicy. The view of the fireworks from the deck was fantastic. Be aware that check in is required on the first floor of the Bay Tower. A cast member has to activate the elevator for you. We came on the monorail from the Grand Floridian Villas and tried to go up from the 5th floor. Elevators will not go to lounge from there. You must take elevator down to the first and then go back up.

As DVC members almost every detail about a trip to the Boardwalk Villas is perfect. With boat transportation to 2/4 Disney theme parks and magnificent grounds and pools you really can't go wrong. The nightlife is unparalleled with an array of table service restaurants, quick service restaurants and food carts and stores. Live entertainment is common and if you're lucky you might be able to watch Illumination fireworks right from your balcony. The rooms have been recently renovated and look beautiful. Only complaint is the joint bus transportation to Animal and Magic Kingdom that is shared with the 4 other surrounding resorts.
With over 20 WDW vacations under our belt at 10 different on property resorts, the Boardwalk Villas are our favorite.
