My husband and I stayed at POFQ in Dec 2011 after staying at the much larger POR previously. We were pleasantly surprised and I think we'd be more inclined to stay at French Quarter again. The resort is definitely small, but small can be wonderful when you spend most of your day walking around the parks. We stayed in the next to last building there and it took no time to get to the front desk and food court. It's brightly themed and it was beautiful at Christmastime. There is no table service restaurant on site but the food court is very good and we didn't feel we were missing anything by not having a TS restaurant. I highly recommend this moderate resort and highly recommend moderates in general--you get a little bit of both worlds for a great price.

My husband and I stayed at POR for our very first trip to WDW in 2010. I loved the grounds--it's absolutely breathtaking! We loved the quick service food court as well as our accomodations in the "mansions" section of the resort. We were very lucky to have a room close to the front desk and food court. The only negative would be that the bus rides are sometimes lengthy once you get into the resort. In the morning it didn't bother us at all but at night when we were so tired it seemed to take forever for the bus to make its way around the resort. There were also several times busses were full to capacity and we had to wait for another to come. Otherwise, this resort is absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend it.

This really is a Fantastic Restaurant I think it is the most formal restaurant on property (besides V&A's) Food is outstanding and different than anywhere else on property really enjoyable and would recommend to anyone! The Wild Boar App and the Filet are both great! If you like tea I recommend the Tea Safari for Dessert...

Ate here on 3/17, wanted to try since it is new and didn't want to eat dinner here, read earlier reviews of the long wait so went around 1pm and stood in line over 30 minutes. Castmember came around and handed out menus to everyone so that the line could move faster. The menu is limited but that's ok. When came to entrance everyone wanted to take pictures and cast members allowed this so this took extra time waiting. Once inside two lines formed. A castmember asked how many was in your party and if you were on the dining plan. We were and have been to Disney before and knew the dining plan do's and don'ts. After ordering we asked for the soup which would not be covered under the dining plan and knew that we wold have to pay for this. We were told that we couldn't order any additionals, we kept explaining that we understood that we would pay for the soup and the castmember told us that since we were on the dining plan we couldn't order anything else. So after several attempts we gave up and went to look for our table. We were pointed to the west wing which was very quiet and not crowded. Our food came minutes later. The food was ok basically sandwiches on hard rolls. The desserts were good but only took a few bites as two family members are diabetics and we don't get desserts but wanted to try since they were so highly rated. It was a cupcake with strawberry mousse inside. We won't be back just wanted to try this restaurant since it was new but like other places better

We ended up eating here on 3/18 for late dinner as our DD4 got sick and we had to take her to Centra Care and spent 4 hours there and missed our ressies at 1900 Park Fare. Now being after 9pm and starving we went to the food court to find something to hold us over until morning. We got the steak sub, chicken Alfredo, and make your own salad. The steak sub was good, the alfredo was ok but this isn't an italian restaurant but my kids would ear alfredo anywhere. But what I was impressed of the most is the make your own salad. It's not your do it yourself salad bar but a castmember measures our your lettuce and adds anything you want then you have a choice of chicken, steak, or salmon. I chose chicken my DH chose the salmon. Both were delicious and plentiful. We eat a lot of salads and eat large salads and this one was filling. it would have been nice to have a piece of garlic bread or crackers with it but was able to use our QS credits for it and was satisfied. We took our meals back to our rooms to eat but it wasn't crowded at all and after explaining to a castmember who was just being friendly about our long day with our DD4 being she offered gingerale and told us to check with the front desk about getting our ressies arranged to see if we could get in at 1900 Park Fare. I thought this was very nice of them to offer suggestions that late at night

Ate here on 3/18 had ressies for 8:05am. It was nice to be one of the first in the park and took our family phote in front of the castle that we wanted to use for our Christmas card. We were seated within in 5 minutes of arriving. Our waitress was wonderful explaining everything since this was our first visit. We went up to the buffet and sampled everything. I had been reading the reviews all year planning our vacation and knew all about the puffed french toast. I excitedly told my family to make sure they tried this and it was true. Very good, all the food was good. The characters came out immediately and our table was the first they came to. My DD4 was so happy that she ran to them to get hugs and pictures. We didn't need to get autographs as we got them the day before in AK. After visiting and taking pictures the charaters visited throughout the room and then the announced a parade my DD4 ran to join the parade around the room, afterwards they all came back around to our table for more pictures. I was very pleased at this character meal and plan on doing this again. The lighting is amazing inside very bright and spacious, I was also surprised and how many emply tables there were at the early time in the am. We had ressies for BBB at 10am and wanted to be able to enjoy our breakfast before heading there. Also, FYI the first aid station is right next door our DD4 wasn't feeling good and went there to get her temp checked.

Ate here on 3/17, had to wait approx 20 minutes after ressies but since this is our favorite restaurant and we visit here everytime we are at MK we tolerate the wait. When we were seated we all laughed at the fact that we were seated in the same room as our last visit, it felt like home. The food was delicious as always, I have 2 teenage boys who can put the food away and they did just that. Our waiter kept the food coming and we got our monies worth. I didn't think I would like the new apple cranberry cake since I don't like cranberries and also not a cake fan I love pie and cobbler, but it was warm from the oven and had ice cream over it. We all enjoyed it. The only thing we all miss is of course the characters. I can only hope that TPTB will read these posts and see that everyone who has visited this restaurant in the past really misses the characters. For anyone who has never visited Liberty Tree try it the food is always good, hot, replenshed, and comforting.

When our 180 day mark came to make ressies this was my first. I had read reviews and wanted to do something for my DD4 first visit to DW. We had ressies for 3/18 but my DD got sick and ended up at Centra Care, we missed our ressies but fortunatley our hotel helped us get ressies the very next day on 3/19 at 4:30pm. We were at the HS for the day and had to take a bus to MK then took the monorail to GF. It was a nice trip. We had never been to the GF and was treated like royalty from the start. My DD had been to the BBB the day before and thank goodness her hair lasted. She still wasn't feeling good so I took her Cinderella dress with us and had her change in the restroom at the GF. This restroom was VERY small and I wasn't the only one who had the same idea of changing dresses. We had our picture taken out front in front of castle painting and then was introduced by family name to enter the room. Our waiter wasn't very attentive but it was a buffet so it didn't matter. The food was awesome, plentiful, great variety. My DH loved the peel and eat shrimp and all the different cold salads. The strawberry soup is more of a dessert for us we dipped fresh fruit into it. We purchased the photoepass+ so we received a photo package with a 5x7 and several smaller pictures brought to our table and the rest of our pictures was on the photopass+. The characters were announced and came around the tables and spent time to do autographs and pictures. My DD4 was totally dressed as Cinderella and turned heads and received so many compliments from not only castmembers but from the characters themselves. She soaked all the attention in. I had read earlier reviews about the waltz during the meal and my dreams as a mother came true when Prince Charming came over and asked my little princess to dance with him. She of course obliged and I wish I had my video camera because I was awe struck and wished it was me!!! I will never forget that moment. I would totally recommend this character dining if just to visit the beautiful resort. Unless we hit the lottery we would probably never get an opportunity to stay here but was nice to visit.

Ate here back in 06 and wasn't planning on eating here again just because wanted to try other places, but was tired and kids were hungry and it was right in front of us so we decided to stop and look at the menu. We decided to eat here on 3/19 and while I found a table and got all the condiments etc for the group ( we are a party of 6) my DH waited in line. We ordered the cheeseburgers and my DH and myself had the cesear salad. Everything was tasty and we each sampled each others desserts. my only complaint is that if I had remembered I would have found seating closer to the restrooms since my elderly mother was with us and uses a scooter but had parked it outside not realizing that we sat at the opposite side of the restaurant and it was a hike for her. We would eat here again but would like to try other places

We wanted to eat at this restaurant back in 06 but didn't make ressies so this was a must this visit. We had ressies for 3/20 and didn't have to wait long before being seated.
Our waitress wasn't into the part at all and the restaurant wasn't even filled. I observed all around me and it seemed like everyone was in a blah mood that day. It had started to drizzle and was cool but it wasn't like it was snowing.
I read reviews about the fried chicken and meatloaf so we ordered both. It was explained that milkshakes were included with the adult meals only. Since we had our DD4 with us, we didn't order any since hers wasn't included in the meal plan. Now don't get me wrong, I could have just paid for hers but if she would have drank a milkshake she probably wouldn't eat anything.
The chicken was fried and plentiful. It was hot which was also nice. My mom ordered the meatloaf along with my DD4 neither one of them liked it and put a lot of ketchup on it to be able to eat it. It just wasn't like ours. Sometime homemade means your homemade not someone else's.
We knew of the "elbows off the table" routine and purposely put them on the table and nothing. My kids won't eat greens and were never told to clean your plate or not dessert so the whole idea of coming here for that purpose was a let down. The table next to us with the same waitress tried to joke with her to get a response and didn't get any either. They had to leave early to catch Fantasmic and opted to not get dessert, and she did come back and give them plain brownies to go to eat at the show. That was nice. We weren't going to the show since it was raining.
We decided as a family to not return next year when we visit again. We will try something else.
