Review of Theme Park Photo Pass

We have pre advanced purchased the CD the past two years. It saves us money and we do not have to worry about which photos we were going to purchase after our trip. However, I did not think we received our full money this time around vs. last year. Last year the CD also came with a photobook and that was a great deal. Also, the photographers seemed to be the paparazzi with each family. We felt it was so worth it to have all those photos. I noticed this year, the photographers have become standardized. They seem to take one as the child is approaching, one hugging the character, and then one facing the camera. More often than not, the photographers seemed to be just standing there waiting for the child to finish to move on to the next child. I would much rather have a ton of “bad†photos than just 3 -5 of the normal photos with every character. ALSO, pay attention to the photographers scanning your card. Our daughter had some lovely photos with Cinderella (she was dressed up as Cinderella that day) but the photographer was too busy looking at the line and her watch that she didn’t scan the card so we missed some of them on our CD. Fortunately, my husband is a camera fool and was snapping pictures left and right so we did get a few of the ones I thought we had missed. From then on I made sure the photographer scanned the card before we left. I am not sure if we will pre-purchase the CD again next year.

We had breakfast at Chef Mickey for the fourth time this past February 28th. We are two adults and one pre-teen. We always have our first breakfast at WDW at this location. We come here for the fun atmosphere and the character interaction which can't be beat. The staff has always been very nice and the breakfast food very good. There really is something for everyone, even smoked salmon and capers which I alway have. Of course, if you're going to do a math equation as to value of food to money spent then you may as well not dine anywhere in Disney. Rather, go for the atmosphere, the fun, the character interaction which is priceless and you will know that your money was well spent.

Used Garden Grocer for our fifth consecutive year in December 2013 and another year of A++++ service. Although we utilize the Dining Plan, we also use this Service for staples that we need though out the week. Why pay $3 for a bottle of water in the parks or waste a snack credit when you can buy the whole case for $7??? Overall, the prices are reasonable compared to the price of a rental car and the convenience is worth its weight in gold.

Excellent place to stop by for a quick hot breakfast before going to the Magic Kingdom.
Tonga toast is particularly tasty and pastries and hot breakfasts are very good. Had no problem finding a table and staff was friendly and efficient.

We stayed in the Little Mermaid room at AOA March 16-24, 2013. The theming is awesome, four story tall Ariel, Tritan and Ursula. The rooms are small, although enough for my family of three. Again, theme is great, loved bathroom tile, Ariel's Grotto. Our room on first floor near lake with view of Pop Century resort, great location to be in no noise from passersby. Walls, however, very thin, heard neighbors shower. Mousekeeping ok at best. Only got one "towel character" after leaving $10 tip, rather than $5 daily tip. We slept late one day, but out of room by 11 am. Room not cleaned. Expected more for $40+ total tip. Towels are awful, scratchy. No towels at pool, have to use room towels and call mousekeeping for extra. Really long walk to food court which is very crowded at times. Quick service food good, very overpriced. Long lines to checkout. The big pool area in Finding Nemo area, is awesome, you can hear music under water, kids play area with slide, "pop up water" area, which was a big hit with my 6 year old daughter. Movie every night outdoors, also a big hit. Area for kids to draw in front of resort. Bottom line would stay again, only because of theming, but prefer moderate resorts.

My six year old daughter chose to be mermaid Ariel. I pre-purchased her costume online at Disney Store. The whole experience was awesome, her stylist Melissa was great! She asked a lot of questions about what she had been doing on her trip, school, etc. She chose the Diva hairstyle and also got her nails and makeup done. She looked adorable! The only negative note was the original pony tail at the base of the style was too tight and it hurt her, a lot, she was afraid to say anything. She was in tears 10 minutes after leaving. But we went back, they were great and they loosened it up a bit. Then we went for photo shoot. Would definitely go again.

Stayed at ASMovies week of 3/18. Requested preferred room in 101 Dalmations, bottom floor, connecting rooms (we needed 2). Received all requests. Arrived 9am and rooms ready. DD4 got sick on day3 with flu, resort gave us roll away bed so she didn't have to share with grandma. no charge. They also arranged transportation to Centra Care so that we could take our DD to seek medical attention no charges even though we tipped since we were so grateful at all the help. Needed prescriptions filled, front desk faxed to Turner Drug who delivers until 10pm. very grateful castmember delivered to room when delivered. Left backpack in HS on day 2 and didn't realize it until back at resort again cast members sent someone to retrieve it since it had medication in it. Our room was 1718 &1719 view was of trees, shrubs very quiet, mousekeeping was excellent and left towels animals. I would highly recommend this resort since they were so accommodating to my family during our stay will always come back.We were to have dinner at 1900 Park Fare the day my DD got sick and had to cancel, front desk was able to rearrange our ressies so that we could go the next day. We ate at the food court and everyone was pleased. My only wish is that they would have a coffee maker and ice maker in room to freeze water for parks. Never waited for buses and only had to share buses when going to HS. We had late flight leaving and they let us check out late and helped us with all the luggage. Totally loved this our 2nd trip to the World.

We traveled to Disney in February 2013 and stayed at the AK Kidani Village. We went to the parks and didn't get back to the resort until after 9pm, at which time discovered that none of our room keys worked. The front desk fixed mine, and everyone else went down to get theirs replaced the next morning. To make a long story short, my husband had to get his replaced 4 times before it worked!!! We kept trying to charge things in the parks back to our room, but the little gold mouse you were supposed to tap never worked. If the cast member ran our cards through the cash register it worked every time. Some cast members wouldn't believe that it didn't work for us, and quickly tap it before we could stop them. It did something funny to their register and they'd have to void out the whole thing while we waited a long time for them to figure it out. We'd tell them to void it, but they'd say oh no, we just have to back out and change the method of payment, then they'd call a manager over, and end up voiding it out. I think this will be a great system once they get the kinks out, but it was a major pain for us, mainly because no one believed it wasn't working properly!

Ate here our first day since we were at AK didn't want to hop to another park or resort. We had ressies at 6pm and was seated within 5 minutes. We were seated in the back which was dark but nice. Food was all good, the room was very cold and kids and grandma got cold so we didn't stay very long, we went here to experience the animatronics, but will probably try other restaurants just so we get a variety
