The trick on a dining plan where half of your meals are table service and half are counter service is to try to find the best quality food on the counter service meals as you can. Sometimes you are just too darn tired to make to a better place. But cruddy hamburgers and french fries day after day get old. This is a great place to get better quality food on your counter service meals. We had the tacos. You get three tacos (soft or crunchy, I think). The soft are in a corn tortilla. The meat (your choice) was good! Chips and salsa come with it. Desserts were a little lacking...but, happing to forego a popsicle for quality food. The seating area (outdoors only) is in such a pretty place if you can get a seat. I say this...it is nice in March...not so sure I can say that in July.

I am not sure why this place gets such poor reviews. We have eaten here on the last 3 trips to Disney and it is one of the better fast service meals we get each time. I will say, I have eaten here before during "rush hour" and it is not so much fun inside...lots of people crammed together and yelling kids. We ate this time right at 11 when they opened, had a nice table outside and really missed the crowd. It was quiet nice. So, I say...skip the inside tables if the weather is nice. Pizza is good! The salad and desserts were all good also. Everyone was happy.

Why to stay at Coronado: this resort is made for conventions. Therefore, the resort is a little less flashy than some of the other Disney resorts. Quieter, in general, also. Check-in was fast and good. Our room was ready ahead of schedule. Unlike last trip for us, the buses ran very regularly and often. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but in general the room was in good order. We stayed in the Rancho section which had some nice touches inside the room. I think, if we had not brought a fan to have on at night the gas golf carts all night might have been annoying. The roll-away bed that I got added to the room over the phone and then re-made sure about at the front desk when we checked-in was not in our room 8 hours later. So had to re-call the desk, but they quickly and happily fixed the situation. Best part...the beds. The beds were soft and I was happy.

My husband and I took this tour on Feb. 28. I had done it many years ago, but it was his first time. Our guide was Mark, a recent grad of Ohio State. His enthusiasm was obvious and contagious. We learned some really interesting things about pest control as well as the gardening methods used by WDW. The tour was supposed to last about an hour, but we ran longer because Mark took the time to thoroughly answer questions from the group.

One thing that we must have at the end of a long day of running around the parks, standing in lines, and darting through crowds is a nice sit down meal. It is a highlight of our day and it is always nice to know that we got a discount on our food by purchasing the plan and that all I have to do is hand them my room key to hand over my "entitlements". Beware, if you have not done this plan before or recently...you do still have to pay tip. And the table service meals are pretty expensive...therefore tip runs you about $20 for 3 people at best. That is for Liberty Tree type of meals. There are plenty that would cost you a lot more. So, do your homework on AllEars.net by looking at the menus and ratings. Then make reservations. You can find a lot of really good food for your table service meals. You have to work a little bit to find quality food for your table service...but it can be done. My only other complaint...the refillable mugs are ridiculously small in capacity. Not usually even worth the time to stand in a line to get the small amount. My favorite table service : Liberty Tree Tavern, Rainforest Cafe. Decent food on the counter service: The Cantina in Mexico and the cafeteria style place right outside of Soarin.

Food was reasonable but average. Servings were generous. The ordering and pick up process was quite disorganized - order and pick up at the same location but as it took quite some time to put each order together there were too many people stuck in a very limited amount of space. The staff seemed stressed out and overwhelmed. The garden seating is very attractive, but difficult to get a table. Off-hours would probably be best for this location.

We dined at Mama Melrose's on Feb. 14th as part of the Fantasmic VIP Package. Our waiter was extremely attentive and very helpful answering all of our questions. We enjoyed all of our food with one exception. My mom order the meat & cheese appetizer for two and we did not enjoy it at all. Will definitely stay away from that in the future but other than that everything was wonderful. The calamari, salad, steak, pasta, chicken....all excellent! Only downfall was that it rained almost all day and that night our showing of Fantasmic was cancelled. But we will definitely be back again next time!

My mom, my brother and myself ate here on February 15th and it was wonderful! My mom order the pulled pork sandwich and my brother & I both ordered the combination chicken & ribs. We all enjoyed our food. The meat just feel right off the ribs. This was possibly our favorite meal of the trip! Will definitely make this a regular stop on future trips.
The only con I can possibly list is that finding a table was a little difficult. Yes there are several sitting areas but even with that it was very crowded and hard to find an empty table.

My family dined here on February 10th. First off, this restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! The ballroom is stunning, especially the ceiling & the chandeliers. My niece loved the snow falling that you could see. The food we ordered was very tasty. I ordered the steak and it was done to perfection....very juicy! The triple chocolate cupcake was heavenly! Will definitely go back on our next visit!
My only cons which I had prepared myself for were that it's kind of noisy and quite dark. It was hard to read the menu.
