Ate here on Feb. 20 with my DD12 and 3 of her classmates. We had been on the QS voucher plan all week and I wanted to take the kids somewhere fun for a sit down meal. We had a great time. All the kids got the frozen drinks in the souvenir cups. We had the Awesome Appetizer which is always great. Kids got the chicken sandwiches while I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (one of the best burgers in Disney imo). Service was great. Everything came out on time. We also enjoy their gift shop. Usually spend about 20 minutes in there after eating.

Pros:

Food, fun for 1st timers

I ate here with four 7th graders twice during the week of Feb. 17-23. We ate here for dinner on the 19th (the same day Kelly and Michael were taping in the park) and for lunch on Feb. 22. Both visits were awesome. I had the fried fish with broccoli both times and it was the best quick service food I have had at Disney. We sat upstairs both times and it was never busy. The kids enjoyed it as well, especially because the menu is so different than other QS places. The assortment of seafood and sandwiches is great.

Pros:

Best Counter Service in Disney

Cons:

Absolutely nothing!

Review of 'Ohana Best Friends Character Breakfast

This is one of my favorite character breakfasts. This was our 9th time here and our first with our 2 year old son. My 2 favorite things are the juice and the pineapple bread they serve. But honestly the food is great! You have to love the Mickey waffles and it would be nice if they had gravy for the biscuits, but it's great. The potatoes are tasty and the eggs and bacon are plentiful. The characters are awesome and they spend a nice amount on time interacting. Stitch is my favorite and he was my sons favorite too. He couldn't stop smiling and Stitch even played with my son and his little Buzz Light year car. It was awesome and I love the Polynesian. This is a must character breakfast!

Pros:

atmosphere, food, characters

Cons:

Review of All Star Movies Resort (Value Resort)

I need to preface this review by saying that when my DD12 and I go to Disney, we stay at the Poly. However, we stayed here at All-Star Movies from Feb. 17-23 for my daughter's 7th Grade Science field trip with about 80 other students and 30 chaperones. We were all situated in the Mighty Ducks section. The hotel served its purpose. We were really only there to shower and sleep. The rooms were always clean. I don't know if that's because I left out a Mousekeeping tip envelope every morning or not. I was in a room with 3 boys. Since I got a bed of my own, we had a rollaway bed as well. Even without the rollaway, the room just seemed tiny. There definitely wasn't enough room to put your clothes away if you wanted to. As far as the buses, I can't comment. We had our own chartered buses that took us everywhere. I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking to save money. There's nothing wrong with the hotel, I just don't like the motel feel it gives off. Maybe I've just become a Disney snob. Either way, we had a great time.

Pros:

Clean rooms

Cons:

Small rooms

This is definitely a hidden gem and shouldn't be overlooked. We've been coming here for 9 years. Our server was great and attentive. This was the first dinner of out 8 day trip. For starters, they bring out this amazing bread with an amazing macadamia but butter! I can eat the whole thing myself. It's so good. As a drink on the dining plan, I got a pina colada. For dinner I had the noodles, which was really good. My wife had the teriyaki steak and my mother in law had the coconut chicken. All of them were very, very good. I do miss my shrimp and scallops dinner and hope they bring it back. The desserts are amazing! You can't go wrong with any choice. It was 2 year old sons birthday and they brought out a cupcake with a chocolate drawing of Lilo and Stitch. My son loved it and was happy. The server even used plates behind my son's ears to make him look like Mickey. I love Kona Cafe and can't wait to go back!

food, service, atmosphere

I love, love, love this place! We have come here for 9 years and sometimes twice on some trips. This was the first time with our 2 year old son. I love the atmosphere, the music and it's just a great place to be during a sunset or during Wishes, as they pump the music through. The food is awesome! The wontons and chicken wings are so tasty and the sauces they serve are out of this world. The meats are all great, but the turkey is my favorite, especially with the peanut sauce. The pork and steak can be overcooked sometimes, but when they are just right...wow. The dessert is amazing and so worth the calories! The entertainment is amazing as well. It wouldn't be the same without one entertainer in particular. She's amazing and makes it so fun for the kids. She made this trip extra special for all of us, especially for my little son. Servers are great! I love 'Ohana! Just be sure to make your reservation way in advance. Mahalo for this gem. A must go!

Boma is an amazing buffet. They have standard items for the kids, but if you're adventurous, this is the place for you. There is hardly a wait time if you have an ADR. I love the atmosphere and the music. The server and staff are very kind. The buffet is amazing. They have meats, salads, rice, pasta, soup, breads and an amazing dessert station. I love the streak with the sauces, chicken, fish, the coconut rice, cous cous, falafel, corn chowder soup, potatoes with Afrittude. There's so much to enjoy and the cool thing is that the menu changes daily. The desserts are crazy and you always wish you had more space. The zebra domes, cheese cake, banana pudding and sauces are awesome! We've been going there for 9 years and will go back. This is a place that should not be missed! Come hungry!

dessert!, food, atmosphere, music, service

Wow is what I have to say! We have come to Disney World for 9 years and this was then first time trying this place. I read the reviews and found the waffle sandwich intriguing. I love sweet and savory, so I needed to try this. My wife thought it was weird, but we got the waffle sandwich and a cinnamon funnel cake. First of all, the sandwich was amazing...juicy...crispy...sweet and tangy. My wife even loved it and she doesn't like mixing sweet and salty. The funnel cake was the best funnel cake I ever had. There's a seating area right next to the castle and you can watch the show while enjoying your food. You are immersed in the magic. We went here twice on our last trip. Amazing. Next time we go, we are running straight here for more of the same. Love it! A must go!

amazing food, atmosphere

We love to go to this place for a convenient breakfast. They used to have a really good breakfast pizza, but not anymore. The breakfast platter is good for sharing and is decent. This is a nice stop before trekking out on a safari or catching the Festival of the Lion King show.

Pros:

atmosphere, convenient, breakfast

Cons:

no more breakfast pizza

The name may turn you off, but you won't regret coming here. Every time we go, we order the ribs and they are amazing! They are super tasty and fall off the bone. The fried rice and Cole slaw make a great accompaniment. The wonton dessert is one of my favorite desserts at Disney World. It's a fun place with good food and cool atmosphere. It's a lot of fun when the Bollywood dj party is going on outside. This is the place for good food in Animal Kingdom.

rib, ribs, wonton dessert, atmosphere
