I am a huge fan of 50s Prime Time. We have been many times, and we have had many wonderful experiences. That being said, your wait staff can really make this a fabulous experience, or it could be just a good one.
This trip, it was just my husband and me. We had a later night reservation, but it was still busy. We waited for a few minutes before we were called to our table. We ended up getting a server that we had had previously who was not very into his role as a family member. He was great, just didn't really play along. We had a nice conversation with him about Disney, and it was a great experience, just not as fun as it probably could have been.
I got the meatloaf and my husband got the chicken. The food was good, and I really like my green beans, so no problems there. 🙂 My favorite thing here is the smores, so I had to get a dessert.
We'll be coming back in July with the family, and this time I'm hoping to get a server that is just a bit more in character.

Le Cellier is one of my favorite restaurants on property. I was thrilled to get a reservation for just my hubby and me for lunch while he was in Florida for a business conference. I was able to get the reservation only a month or so in advance, so I thought that was a score!
We checked in, and had a little bit of a wait until our table was ready. I thought that it was nice because the people around us were all at different places in their meals, so it felt that they weren't sitting right next to us for the whole time. We ended up getting a table that was part booth on the back, and then a chair on the other side. I always like getting a partial booth. It just feels more intimate.
Our server was great. She was a wealth of knowledge, and she was just fun to chat with. The couple next to us was nice too. They were just trying to decide on dessert when we were seated, and I recommended the Maple Crème Brule.
The pretzel bread was delicious as always, but the only thing that disappointed me a little was the fact that they no longer serve those delicious cream cheese mashed potatoes. They were to die for. I wanted the filet without the mushrooms which was no problem. I didn't want the risotto, so our server recommended this layered potato thing, but I didn't care for it at all. I probably didn't need those potatoes anyway, I needed to save room for that Crème Brule.
Overall, it was a great meal!

We dined at Kona on April 11, and it was wonderful! Four of us shared sticky wings potstickers - Yum! As entrees, we had the almond chicken, tuna, lamb, and duck. They were all very, very good and we enjoyed sharing bites. We couldn't not have dessert, so we ordered the chocolate fondue, creme brulee, and they let me order bread pudding from O'Hana! Awesome! I was over the moon and enjoyed every spoonfull.

We went on a whim to 50s when we were there on April 10. Since the restaurant was just opening, we were able to be seated promptly and didn't have reservations. We enjoyed this less busy time. Loved the theme of the restaurant and had a fun server. I had meatloaf, DH had the fried chicken, and DD had the potroast. Although all were good, we thought the fried chicken was the best! We clicked through the viewfinder and knew we had to get dessert. DD had apple pie, and we also ordered the cheesecake. Disappointed with cheesecake, but our server took it back and gladly brought us the s'mores instead. Much better choice! So simple, but they tasted fantastic! It was a fun restaurant with good food. Not on our "must do" list every vacation, but we will definitely return!

One word here, Walter, our server, was the best waiter I have had in all my years of dining. The Charcuterie Board was delicious. The onion bread exceptional. Could of fooled me into thinking the poterhouse was prime, that is how juicy and marbled it was. Well worth the 2 credits will be coming back. Walter is a rockstar.

While there's not much selection if you're ISO a light lunch (we spent $60 for two drinks, 2 sandwiches and a tip), the paninis are quite tasty.
I would rather have been seated in the main dining room where the ambiance has a bit more oomph, but the service was excellent.

We chose the Contemporary for two reasons on our recent trip:
1. We had never stayed at the resort
2. It was $1200 cheaper than the club level at the Poly
Overall, this was a very nice experience and if you're like us (I'm pregnant and we took A LOT of breaks from the parks), then the cost is worth it. We also ate breakfast in the lounge every day and my husband LOVED the snacks. Also, being able to get water and bagged snacks to take into the parks was great for this preggo...I was ALWAYS hungry and thirsty! But if you're going commando at the parks, and just need a place to sleep, save your money.
Here are the reasons why I can't give this experience a 10:
1. It took 6 hours for our luggage to reach us, we nearly missed our ADR. Unacceptable.
2. We had two packages delivered, one from MK and one from DTD. Only the one from MK made it to our room, the other I had to retrieve from the gift shop after 2+ days. Unacceptable.
3. The noise from Chef Mickey's does make it all the way up to the 12th floor, so if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
Pros:
Views, food, helpful staffCons:

O'Hana has become one of our favorite dining destinations at Disney. We recently dined there on April 8, and had another great experience. We were surprised they changed a couple of small items since our visit last October, like the dressing and veggies, but still really enjoyed the food. I could live off the bread pudding alone! Our server was attentive and the food came out at a nice pace. The chicken was exceptionally good that night, and I think our party of three ate a couple of skewers of that alone. We already have reservations made for our next visit in October. Now if only I could figure out how to have them ship the bread pudding to me between visits!

Our first experience at Trails End was in 2007 and we were not impressed. We decided to give it a try again and were pleasantly surprised. The service with drink refills was excellent the food was great with plenty to chose from. The fried chicken was amazing and so were the deserts. We will not hesitate to go back.

We stay at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness and order everthing from water to take into the park, breakfast food, snack and light meals to make when we get home from the parks late. My order is always in the cabin when we get there and anything that needs to be refridgerated or frozen is put away for me. Love it.
