Review of Blue Bayou Dinner

There's really one reason to visit Blue Bayou, and that's for the atmosphere. The food wasn't bad (and I admit that it's not the sort of food that I really enjoy), but I don't think it's worth the price on its own. However, the atmosphere is very nice, and the server we had was excellent, and for me, that's enough.

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

Review of Paradise Pier Hotel

I didn't expect much from Paradise Pier; however when bad weather made us stay in California longer and the Grand Californian couldn't give us a room for an extra night, we went across the street to Paradise Pier. The outside of the hotel is pretty standard as are most of the inside spaces, but that makes sense, since Disney didn't build the hotel. I think they did the best they could with what they had, and found the room décor to be charming. We had a 12th floor view of California Adventure, which was awesome! It was a very pleasant, if short, stay.

Pros:

Clean, whimsical room decor, some rooms have a fabulous view

Cons:

Not the usual Disney atmosphere, but they try

I have no complaints about this hotel. The location is very convenient, it has some of the best restaurants on property, and we found the room to be spacious (by Disney standards) and very comfortable.

This is our send visit. This time we stayed at the CARS, and last visit we were at FINDING NEMO. These are the best locations, since they are close to the main entrance, and right next to the large pools! We had 3 adults this visit, and having the seperate bedroom was very convenient! having the small refrigerator and microwave is a plus...and definitely with the price to have a 2nd full bathroom!!! LOVE this hotel! You will not be disappointed!!

Pros:

great accomodations, spacious suites at a great price

All adults in our group! Everyone was able to enjoy the different foods available in the buffet. The coffee was delicious. We were not rushed and although the restaurant was busy...the buffet line was never long! Great food for the price...and no characters, which was fine for us since we did not have children traveling with us this trip! Will do this buffet breakfast again!!!

We traveled via cab to BOMA for breakfast during week of 12/4-12/9/13. We had been recommended to go there. We had made an ADR and arrived right on time. We were seated within minutes. It is great to be able to just go get food, as we did not want to miss park time.

BOMA favorites for me: JUICE! YUM YUM YUM
Coffee was great too. The bread pudding french toast is to die for! YUM. Although the syrup makes it really sweet. I recommend you put the syrup on the side.

The juice is great. A tropical flavor mix.

The cooks work hard here and the food was coming out quick. They refilled the buffet on a regular basis, keeping things nice and hot.

Great variety including mickey waffles, meats, and they had a carving station with ham and turkey! Great way to fill up before hitting the parks for a long day.

I can't wait to go back!

Pros:

buffet, great variety of food, resort beauty

Cons:

service a tad slow

Review of Coronado Springs Resort (Moderate Resort)

Coronado Springs is a LARGE resort. Acreage wise it is the largest of all Disney resorts. I was staying in building 4 12/4/13-12/9/13. Third floor room. We had easy access to stairs, and there was a "quiet" pool right by our building. Building four is near bus stop two, which is VERY NICE when coming back from a long day at the park.

The staff is excellent. Especially Maria and Robert. They are in the front desk and work hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

It is about a 10 minute walk to the pool from building 4. We walked the entire "circle" from the front building all the way around the property and it took about 30 minutes to get back to the main building. Very beautiful grounds. At the end of the day it could be quite a walk, especially if you have young children to the back of the property.

The main pool (big dig site) is AWESOME. Arguably the best pool at Disneyworld. Has a great slide, really large swimming area, tiny toddler pool, and a small hot tub. Very very nice though and a must do.

Magic Bands in DECEMBER were anything but magic for me. My rating here of 9 is simply on the resort, and not on my disneyworld experience. If I had to rate my Disneyworld experience due to the many, many magic band issues, my rating would be NEGATIVE! It prevented me from booking for next year, which I was planning on doing.

If I was to return to Disneyworld, I would stay at Coronado. It is a convention hotel, so you get more of a major named brand hotel (think H...or M...) feel than a Disney feel. There are no characters around. The theme is upscale Southwestern type instead of a "disney type" thing. However, I LOVED this resort and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Pros:

Room Size, Partition between room and bath, staff

Cons:

size

We had dinner here on 12/5/13 and loved it. The beautiful tiled decor, the musicians and the bellydancer were all great. We chose the Royal Feast and it really is a lot of food! The meats were so tender we didn't have to use our knives to cut them. Our server was attentive and we didn't feel rushed along at all.

Pros:

setting, food, entertainment
