We thought we would try this restaurant during our vacation. This was a wonderful dining experience. Service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the decor was beautiful. This restaurant was quiet compared to many of the other restaurants we experienced. Now it is one of our favorite restaurants!

Pros:

Everything!

Review of Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate Resort)

We stayed at this resort the week of 4/6/14. The resort is not too large and it was a close walk to the food court, pool, and the bus stops, which were near the main entrance. Housekeeping was spotty during the week. Some of the time the room was cleaned and at other times the floor wasn't vacuumed and there was dust on the dresser at the end of the week. We did have towel animals during our stay. The only noise we heard from the other rooms was the loud toilets flushing.

The grounds are pretty and the boat ride to Riverside/Downtown Disney was a nice change from the buses. We had to take a taxi one evening to get to our dinner reservation, because the bus we needed to take hadn't arrived after a 30 minute wait. That was the only time we had a problem with the bus transportation.

The food court was just OK. It was very crowded at times and although most of the staff were pleasant, there were some that were not.

Overall, we would recommend this resort. We did save some money by staying at this moderate resort, and we did enjoy our stay, but we missed the transportation options and extras that the deluxe resorts offer.

Pros:

Size of Resort

Cons:

Transportation, Loud Toilets

We ate here our last night at Disney last Friday. We both had the shish ka bob. Meat was very tender and flavorful. Accompanied with bell pepper , onion, tomato, mushroom & zucchini. Nice! side dish was a yellow rice pilaf that could have used a little more turmeric. A pat of butter fixed it. We weren't hungry enough to have appetizer or dessert after 7 days of eating at Disney.
the tables are very close but the ambiance and decor is very nice. Also enjoyed the belly dancer and morrocan music.

Pros:

Tasty Shish Ka Bob

Cons:

Loud and close

We went on a Stingray Excursion with Cayman ECO Adventures. We booked it directly through their website. It was only 35 PP! We had the whole boat to ourselves(which I think was a fluke but they say they have only small groups go out). Went to the Stingray Cove and fed them fish pieces. It was the best thing I have ever experienced! They just swim around you and they are so big! Even the 14 year old that we were afraid was not going to get off of the boat had a blast. I can not say enough about our Captain-Captain Kevin. He waits for you just off of the cruise ship. After the Stingrays we went Snorkling on the Barrier Reef-it was the most amazing thing I have seen. Then spent about 30 minutes on a private little island getting seashells. It was awesome!

Pros:

BEAUTIFUL!!PERFECT!!

Cons:

Nothing!

Review of Le Cellier Lunch/Dinner

This restaurant is not to be missed. This visit we both had the filet which as usual melts in your mouth like butter. They changed the risotto to and english pea risotto instead of the mushroom risotto and I think that change was a mistake. I had the lobster chopped salad which is a little bit of heaven before the filet. Hubby had the cheese soup which was excellent.
This restaurant is small and they fully book so don't expect to walk in at the last minute.

Pros:

Best filet Ever

Cons:

Restaurant is small - Make a reservation

One of our favorite places. We just love the atmosphere here . I highly recommend the scotch egg, bangers & mash and cottage pie which we have had on previous visits.

This visit hubby had the fish & chips which he raved about. I had the ploughmans lunch as I wanted something simple and high in protein and this fit my needs. I will have to say that the chicken was dry and I did not finish it.

Pros:

Great atmosphere - Love the scotch egg

We really enjoyed our meal here. I had the crab salad with shrimp which I totally loved. My entree was the filet which was excellent but not up to the level of Le Cellier. Hubby had the short ribs/ pasta which he loved. Tables are close but it was not a problem.

Pros:

Crab salad - Yum!

Cons:

tables are very close

Review of Beach Club Resort (Deluxe Resort)

Our main reason for staying at the Beach Club was the quick walk to Epcot's World Showcase as we like to dine there. There is also boat service to Epcot and Hollywood which was super convenient and quick to our 2 favorite parks.

Our room was clean and attractive and spacious enough for the 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable. We expected a balcony big enough to sit on and were disappointed in our tiny balcony barely big enough for 1 person to stand on They offered us another room the next day but we had a full day scheduled and knew we would not have the time or energy to move. This was the most skimpily furnished room we have ever had and the most expensive. We have stayed at AK Lodge(best resort), Grand Floridian and several moderate resorts.

We ate at the Captains Grille the first night which was nothing special. For breakfast we prefer room service. The food choices are a little better and about the same price. A few things available you don't get downstairs. Also a lot less chaotic.

Bus service to AK and MK seemed a little slower than other places . Our first morning there were 6 MK buses and finally and AK bus. We had to stand in a tight crowd and felt really beat up to start off our first day at AK.

Pros:

Close to Epcot & Hollywood

Cons:

Skimpy room for the price

My DW and I stayed 03/31/14 to 04/05/14. We've stayed at this resort at least 6 or 8 times (kinda lost track) and we've never been disappointed, it's one of our favorites. We requested Martinique as we haven't stayed there before but we got Jamaica which was fine. We did get upgraded to a king room though. People complain about the size however we enjoy the short walks through Caribbean Cay to Port Royale for coffee in the morning. The walking is good for burning off the extra calories from the dining plan too! The bus service was reasonable as always, 10 or 15 minutes, with one exception. We were meeting friends at Downtown Disney for lunch one day and had to wait 45 minutes for a bus. Maybe they run less buses to DD during the daytime. We also had a minor incident in our room. Upon our return one afternoon we found a lizard in the room but a call to maintenance and a CM came and quickly removed it. I didn't mind but my wife wasn't happy about our extra guest. All in all we had another wonderful stay at Caribbean Beach.

Pros:

Beautiful Caribbean atmosphere and surroundings

Cons:

My husband and I dined here on March 12th. We were seated without delay at our 7pm reservation. At first, we were given a table right in front of the kitchen. When I asked to be moved, we were given a beautiful table in front of a window overlooking the WL courtyard. Amazing!!!
We both had the portobello soup. It was delicious. For entrees, I had the filet and my husband had the trio, both mouth watering. For dessert, we both had the cobbler, and it was truly one of the best desserts we have ever had at WDW.
Our waitress surprised us at the end of our meal with complimentary champagne to celebrate my husband's birthday, with a glow in the dark Buzz Lighyear clipped to its glass.
This is a MUST when dining at Disney!!!

Service, Food and Atmosphere
