after checking into our resort my family and i hopped onto a bus then the monorail for your first dinner at disney. check in was fast and efficient and after about 5 mins we were called to have our pictures taken with the mickey statue and get our table.
the waitress took our drink order and very quickly mentioned how the food was layed out. the real stand item of the meal was the sliced turkey. it was incredibly moist and had great flavor. also there was this chocolate mousse on a mini oreo type dessert that was out of this world!! everything else (mashed potato, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, veggies etc) were good but typical quality for a buffet.
now the characters. they were fun. they interacted with all of us, not just the kids, and seemed to take time at each table for pictures and autographs. we saw pluto 3 times at different restaurants and he is by far the best. try calling him goofy!!
all in all in left satisfied and excited for the rest of the trip!
Pros:
food was better then expected, good character interactionCons:

The atmosphere at this restaurant is quite nice, BUT if you do not like expensive cold food do not go here. We used to frequent this restaurant in the past years, but after being here last week we will not go back. I felt really bad, such a dissapointment.
Pros:
nice atmosphereCons:

The Flying Fish is a consistently great restaurant in my opinion. I started with the cheese tray, which was amazing! I had the tuna entree which was delicious and fresh. I loved that the kids menu included veggies and fish. My kids loved it! We snuck into the bar in the Boardwalk Hotel while we were waiting, and afterwards enjoyed the magician's show on the Boardwalk. Overall a fantastic experience!
Pros:
Delicious fish and great kids menuCons:

I searched and searched for the coveted O'Hana reservation and was so excited to take my family last week. This experience was a let down compared to previous visits. For starters, we were hoping for the Hawaiin entertainment from years past. This year we got one birthday song and a line to get a lei. I missed the excitement that this element usually brings to the experience. The food, however, was very good...but quickly served. I know this was in an attempt to turn the table, but the pace was really too fast for my taste. The Gluten free offerings for my husband were excellent and included lettuce wraps, chicken wings, and all of the grilled meats and a special dessert. They did require my 10 year old to be charged as an adult- which made the price tag high in my opinion. The food was great, just the experience was a bit of a let down.
Pros:
Great gluten free offeringsCons:

We like getting into MK early and taking pictures on Main Street with hardly any other people in them, so an early breakfast at Crystal Palace is great. The food is fresh and good, the servers are efficient, and the building is beautiful. Since we are adults, we don't worry about time with the characters, but we saw all of them on May 3 and had plenty of time for pictures. The only downside is the price. It seems like a lot for breakfast.
Pros:
Restaurant is gorgeous, food is plentifulCons:

A nice variety of choices that aren't available most other quick-serve locations. Great dessert selection. Not really the place for a restful meal, but good food in a convenient location.

A must-do every trip. The food is great, especially the pot roast. Best milkshakes on property. Fun, nostalgic decor and fabulous cast members make this more of an attraction with food than a restaurant. You MUST try it at least once.

Kind of disappointed after eating here May 2. The ribs were really dry and the pork sandwich was bland. The onion rings were good, though. I didn't mind my smoked chicken salad, but it wasn't great. The best part of the meal was sitting in the shade looking at Expedition Everest. Wouldn't really recommend eating here.

Had dinner here May 8. Nice selection of familiar food with something for everyone. Our server was attentive and friendly without being annoying, and his recommendations were spot on.
Very casual, laid-back atmosphere is relaxing after the craziness of the parks.
Pros:

Had a Fastpass for lunch here May 4. Ordering was easy, with a couple of cast members available to help with any issues. After reading reviews online, all four of us (all adults) ordered the braised pork. The portion was large and it was delicious! The green beans were perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were hot and tasty. Cupcakes for dessert were good, but the grey stuff is only ok, not really delicious (sorry Lumiere!). After eating, we wandered around taking pictures for a few minutes. A must-do for all Beauty and the Beast fans.
