Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch

We dined here for lunch after a one year break. What a nice lunch. While we did not have an
ADR with our Magic Bands, the wait was less than a half hour even at lunch time. We had the quiche, roasted pork, the leek soup and many desserts. All were tasty, and arrived promptly at our West Wing table. We ate in the Ball Room last year as our youngest daughter was a bit of a chicken and it was lovely. But the decor, rose and portrait make the West Wing ROCK! There are free drink re-fills at lunch, which is a plus at a table service option. I am not sure there is a reason to come here for dinner as the menu is much the same and the prices are much higher. I was happy with our meal last year, and this one was even better.

Pros:

beautiful theme

Review of Sunshine Seasons

We normally do not dine in Future World. Ever. So Sunshine Seasons was a great surprise to say the least. There are many, many options so it is easy to please everyone in the family. The breakfast panini was a dream with eggs, cheese, bacon and roasted pork on toasted herbed bread. Yummy. We also stopped for lunch on another day. The stir fry beef was a hit along with the roasted chicken with beans and yellow rice. HUGE and very tasty. This place is a real gem. I will be back next year for sure and am sad we missed it for so many years.

After days of burgers and chicken nuggets, this place is a slice of heaven! A huge portion of lamb shawarma and naan hits the plate. The hummus is rich and cool. The portions are generous and the price is small (by Disney standards anyway.) Our service this time was much better and very friendly (newer CM's perhaps?) This is a hidden gem. The food is NOT spicy, so those who have worried need not be afraid. There is rarely a line and the seating is not a problem. We always manage to get a table in the shade. As a side note, I think the bathroom here is cleaner and cooler than most due to limited foot traffic. We stop here every time and always end up happy and full. Note: we order three meals to feed four HUNGRY people.

Pros:

a change of pace

Review of Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles

While the sweet treats have always been delish here, the former location was crowded and small. The new re-boot is perfect. We had some amazing food here, and it is quickly becoming our Epcot go-to for quick service dining. The lobster bisque was hot and rich and full of flavor, and when paired with the half baguette, it is a hearty lunch at a very low price (for Disney.) Real butter is free. Gotta love France. We also enjoyed the cheesy tomato bread and eclairs! While seating is limited at lunch time, if you wait an hour and arrive after 1:00 or so, there well may be a seat. We also stopped here to grab a snack before IllumiNations. I used my rusty French from high school and the CM's were amused. I must have been okay as my order was correct.

Pros:

Huge improvement

Cons:

limited seating

Review of Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate Resort)

After 20+ trips to Disney, it has become official. FQ is the best. We have stayed at all the value resorts, all the moderate resorts and two of the deluxe resorts and keep coming back to FQ. The rooms have queen beds, which is a plus for families. There is only one bus stop location, so there is little transportation confusion. While the bus sometimes shares with Riverside, this does not bother us. The boat ride to DTD is charming and efficient and we used it more than once. This resort is small compared to other Disney locations and this a a huge plus when traveling with older grandparents. Our room was ready early and featured some towel art, which pleased the kiddos. The pool is fun and had free life jackets for little ones or non-swimmers. The slide is just fast enough to keep older kids happy. We liked pin trading in the gift shop where the CM are always friendly. The food court is not large, and can be crowded in the morning. A quick fix is picking up fruit and yogurt and goodies the night before and using the in room fridge rather than facing the early crowd. This is our Disney home!

Pros:

smaller resort

Cons:

busy food court

Review of Grand Floridian Resort (Deluxe Resort)

This was our third stay at the Grand Floridian so we have always been very happy staying there but this time was exceptional. The rooms have been renovated and are done very well. All the staff members we encountered seemed to be at their best, from the front desk to house keeping! Love the turn down service and on our last day my daughter received a rose on her bed, a very nice touch that we never experienced before. I would highly recommend staying here, both of my children love staying here as well.

EVERYTHING !!!

This is very hard to write since California Grill is one of my all time favorite restaurants. At first we were seated in front of the new kitchen which is extremely loud could not hear our own conversation, after requesting another table we were moved to an excellent location, waitress was nice. Food was not prepared correctly after pointing this out service and food quality went horribly wrong. After almost 2 hours of a very bad experience my party of three finally got out without desert or viewing fireworks. When concerns were brought to management they were basically ignored.

Pros:

Cons:

Food and service

Our reservation was for 6:30. We arrived about 6:15, checked in, and ended up being seated before our actually reservation. We were seated on the patio which was nice.

My DS 7 ordered mac and cheese which he ate almost every bite (an accomplishment for him so it must have been good). My DH and DS 13 decided that they would each order a different Monte Cristo and then split them. So one had the regular and the other had the cheese one. When they were brought out, they did have to ask for more of the berry sauce because they were only brought enough for one sandwich but our waiter fixed this immediately. I sampled each sandwich and they were delicious. I ordered Seafood Herb Crepes and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste. They were delicious. I did not like the slaw or whatever it was that they served with it but it was probably just me. We were all stuffed from our meal here. The service was excellent. We will definitely eat here again when we return.

Food, Food, Food

My family ate here on June 7, 2014. After a long morning, lunch was our first order of busy once we got in the park. My husband ordered the Blue Cheese and Bacon Burger with fries, my DS 13 had a Classic Cheeseburger with fries, my DS 7 had a kids chicken nuggets with apple slices, and I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. None of us were disappointed with our food. The biggest problem we had was finding a seat either inside or out. Even though we got through the line really quickly, it was hard to find seats that you could get too. The open tables were almost impossible to squeeze into because of other diners sitting down.

Food, Service

Its hot dogs and sausages. Both my husband and DS 13 had the Hot Dog combo and liked it. Although they both were a little hungry after eating it so it was enough food for them. I had the Sicilian Sausage which I really liked. I didn't eat the bun since I don't really like a lot of bread but it did taste good the few bites I took. My DS 7 had a kids hot dog which he ate all up. Overall it was good but we would probably eat somewhere else next time.

Pros:

Price, Decent Hot Dogs
