Review of Sanaa Lunch/Dinner - Kidani Village

I know I am going against the majority when I post this review which is why it has taken me 5 months to do it but...
we stayed at Kidani Village in January and this is the only restaurant we ate at in Animal Kingdom. We would not return. Food was OK but nothing to deserve the prices it commands.
I think alot about this restaurant depends on your server and ours was not good. We ate early hoping to get a window view but were back from the windows quite a bit. The review of our waitress is not just sour apples because of our view but she was just not good. We ordered the bread and it was delivered by someone who said our server would explain what it was but she was too busy for that. We never really knew what we were eating.
Food was OK but I guess the reason why it took me so long to post is that I've been reading these glowing reviews of Sanaa and I just had to post that we were not thrilled and would not go back there again. The server was a lot of the problem but the food also was an issue.

We love ohana. We allow our son and daughter to each pick 1 of the places we eat. 13 year old son always picks ohana. In the past we have had ressies on more than one night. My favorite is the shrimp dipped in the peanut sauce. You have to get ressies well in advance but its worth the trouble. If you can only eat at one place at WDW make it Ohana.

My family LOVES Flame tree. We eat here at least once every year. It's the best quick serve restaraunt at the world. Being from the south I know ribs and theirs are really good. In 7 years we have never gotten dry or tough ones. Beans are good but the slaw needs a little work.
Pros:
great food and lines move quicklyCons:

1st time here. We hesitated to go here because of bad reviews but we decided to go anyway. So glad we did. We don't eat ranch dressing so our waitress brought us a salad with vinegar and oil on the side. The fish over the vegetables was better than most of the other meats I ate all week long. The beef was also great and the kids loved the potatoes and chicken legs. Glad we wet
Pros:
good homestyle food and serviceCons:

1st time here. The different food i tried were all good although a lot of them were too risky for me. The wife and kids tried many things and no complaint. The Apple cobbler with the crumbles was awesome.
Pros:
all the servers were very good and the resturant is beautfulCons:

We were looking forward to Ohana's after eating there on our last visit. As before, we really enjoyed this meal and the whole Hawaiian Experience/ Atmosphere/ Entertainment. We were a little saddened that we did not get a lei as in the past upon arrival. We were looking forward to that extremely delicious salad from last time but were very disappointed that they had changed the dressing (it was just OK). All the meats were fantastic and our server was great about bringing us more!! The pace of the meal was perfect and we did not feel rushed. LOVED the dessert. Overall it is still a wonderful place to eat but a little disappointed by some of the changes. If we had not visited before, we wouldn't have anything to compare it to and would still be quite happy.

In the past this was a "must do", unfortunately this years visit was very disappointing. The service was good but the food was not. The salad was OK but had blue cheese in it (which is not a favorite). The all you can eat skillet had chicken, ribs, pulled pork and steak. The ribs were very overdone and dry, the pulled pork had very little BBQ sauce on it and the steak was tough and chewy. Our daughter liked the chicken, but the rest of us were not impressed. We asked for more of each meat and the refills were of the same quality. This meal is highly overpriced for the quality of food. We had a better meal at Texas Roadhouse the following weekend for half the price! Make sure to note that dessert is NOT included as in the past.

For a moderate resort, this was excellent. Caribbean Beach had beautiful grounds and I completely enjoyed walking the 1.2 mile path around the resort. The pool and jacuzzi area was wonderful. The restaurant area was not the greatest. It was more of a Sizzler's atmosphere then what I expected from Disney. The rooms were small but nice for a moderate resort. The towels were scratchy and coming apart. They were worse than Motel 6. No lotion and the shampoo and conditioner bottles fell apart as soon as we opened them - quite a waste if you ask me. The service was very good. All the people were excellent except for one woman at the luggage service area. She must have been having a bad day and was pretty unkind on the phone. We would stay again at the Caribbean Beach but will probably opt for a deluxe resort or the log cabins for our next stay.

Unfortunately, this recent visit was not as good as the last. The food was very tasty but it seemed to be lumped onto plates that were not quite big enough for our large party. We left a lot of meat that we would have like to have just left in the kitchen. We tried to let our server know that less pork, more turkey but I don't think that's how it is served at Liberty Tree Tavern. Unfortunately, that is wasteful. The delicious dessert was not served individually but all lumped onto one plate. Not very pretty and very had to serve up when the ice cream is melting. I like the individual apple cobblers much better. I think we wasted quite a bit of food which made me sad. The food was incredibly delicious - especially the dressing and sweet potatoes. Definitely would go back but will not be first on our list.

One of our favorite dining experiences. We walked around the grounds of the lodge before dinner and were able to see many different African animals - what a treat! The dinner was superb. The different kinds of food were fabulous and the spices and tastes of the different foods were excellent!! My sister has a food allergy and one of the chefs came out and walked her through the buffet so she knew what she could eat and what she couldn't. The service could not have been better. Our server must have had eyes in the back of his head. He took our plates and filled our glasses before we even knew we needed it. Excellent buffet for all ages. We loved it!!
