We returned a few weeks ago from another great trip to Disney with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 2 & 5). We've stayed at ASM, Pop, Fort Wilderness Campground, and Caribbean Beach in the past (and occasionally we rent a house). This was our favorite resort stay by far! We loved Pop last year, but the size of this resort and the beautiful grounds and theming are pretty hard to beat. Our days in the park were somewhat stressful at times with the crowds (especially MK). However, you'd never know how busy the parks are based on the feel of this resort. It is just so calm and relaxed. No big tour groups or anything like that. It was just perfect for us. The kids loved the pool and playground--we were in building 2 overlooking them both, so that was really nice. The boats to DTD are so convenient--especially with all the construction there and lack of parking. Food court was good, staff friendly, mousekeeping great, and room very comfortable. We would definitely return here in the future!! Highly recommend!
Pros:
Size, theming, rooms, pool, DTD boats, quietCons:

WE have loved this restaurant for 15 years however are so disappointed with all the changes that have slowly decreased the quaintness of the atmosphere as well as the quality of the food.
Years ago, bread was served in quaint bread holders on the table, real candles were in the center of the table in cute candle holders...everything has been generically standardized to make things less special.
And when you have a wonderful steak, the mushroom filet (that used to have roasted parsnips on top loooong ago) why change that risotto and sauce for something less than wonderful??
We ordered my filet well done (no pink right??). Well the first steak came dripping blood, as rare than my husband and son who both ordered medium. They apologized and sent it back (another 10 minutes passed) and brought me a second steak more rare than the first...Again, manager apologized and sent it back and after 15 minutes this time it came out ok. But my family had finished their dinners 20 minutes earlier and we missed our fast pass reservation when all was done...
When you have a good thing and mess it up, it is sad...We will not be back to spend our hard earned money on an overpriced place like this any more....:(

Our party of 10 had an amazing dinner! We were seated quickly and had a very attentive waiter. The entire meal from the bread, salad, wings, and noodles were excellent. Our favorites were the steak, shrimp, and dessert. This was our second time eating here, and is by far our favorite place to eat. This dining experience is a disney must do! Only negative is that they no longer serve chicken on the skewers which were my kids favorite.
Pros:
Friendly staff, amazing food, and atmosphereCons:

We were a party of 10 and were looking forward to the act the waitstaff puts on. The bartender was very friendly, the fried chicken and pot roast were both good. Shakes were made the old fashioned way and were delicious. However, even with reservations and showing up early, we waited an hour to be seated. The meatloaf and green beans were terrible. Our waiter did little to play the part and was a huge disappointment. For the price we paid, the lack of interest in our waiter it was not worth it. We ate at several restaurants during our 5 days at Disney. This by far was the worst.

On our last trip in December 2013, I had planned to try the egg/veggie pancake thing, but as it was no longer available, I ordered the teriyaki salmon and veggies meal. The salmon was bias cut, not a typical filet, but was tasty. The veggie mix was nice, but the temperature of the food was lukewarm; I would have preferred it hotter. My husband got a sushi selection, which he enjoyed very much. I highly recommend the iced green tea, one of my favorite WDW beverages. Taste it before you add sweetener--you may decide to drink it straight. The only real disappointment was dessert. We opted for the chocolate chip cookies, thinking our son could use them as a snack. He did eat them, but they were dry and not very appealing--plus they were made in Canada! But the seating in the garden near the water was very cool and restful, a nice place to take a break even if you just get a beverage.
Pros:
uncrowded; courteous service; not a burger placeCons:

This was our second time eating at Be Our Guest, as we had been there last year too. It is absolutely beautiful and you definitely have to take a walk through the castle to see the rooms and the detail that Disney put into them. This time we sat in the West Wing, which was really interesting and a bit quieter than the loud main room. We ordered the steak and the seafood puff pastry, both of which were good. Our kids ordered grilled cheese and mac & cheese, and liked both. Desserts were yummy- the grey stuff and strawberry cupcakes. Our server was the only downside. Last year we were so fortunate to have Michelle for our server (and she even stopped by to say hello and visit with us for a few minutes- she's the best!). This year, our server acted standoffish and made no real efforts to connect, which was fine, until she saw Michelle talking to us. Then she said that she hopes we like her as much as Michelle, and asked about how we knew Michelle. It was awkward. Otherwise, everything here was really good, and we would return.
Pros:
Atmosphere, dessert, food, Beast picturesCons:

I booked a dinner reservation 180 days in advance for a special occasion. While I enjoyed the dinner very much, I felt the value for the money wasn't great, you're paying for the experience as much as the food.
To start with, the CMs manning the bridge are not the nicest about answering questions or letting you go to the entrance where there is seating unless your pager has gone off, at which point there's no need to sit outside any longer. I don't know if it was an off day for them, but it didn't make for a good introduction.
Once inside, things got better as our server was very nice, friendly, and professional.
The menu is extremely limited and could stand a few more options, but our server recommended the steak and we took his advice.
It was delicious, cooked exactly as we asked, and had a nice garlic butter on the side.
The kids' options were even more limited, but it's Disney, so we knew that going in and the children ended up picking things off the adults' plates as well.
I wasn't very interested in the dessert cart, but again at our server's recommendation, we tried the grey stuff and very much enjoyed it. I would go back for that alone.
Pros:
Service, atmosphere, steak and grey stuffCons:

I was lucky enough to get seated here for dinner even without a reservation. They have a stand-by line for walk-ins that is opened or closed depending on how busy they are, and it closed soon after I got in.
I was a bit hesitant at first since I had read mixed reviews, but I had nothing to worry about. The pizza was great and just as good as my favorite neighborhood place. The large four cheese pizza was enough to share between three adults and a ten year old with some leftover. The mezzo metro would have been overkill.
Giorgia was our server and while she seemed nervous (she told us it was her first day), she was very sweet and pleasant in assisting us.
There's also an optional bread service that you can request and we did, but we found it lacking, the bread had the consistency of melba toast and the olive oil and butter for it never arrived.
The calamari appetizer made up for it though, it tasted fresh and crisp without being greasy. One of our party also had the red wine sangria and found it to be tasty and a generous portion.
We shared a tiramisu for dessert and while it was very nice, it was nothing to write home about. I would recommend the hazelnut or profiterole ice cream in France instead.
Overall I would recommend Via Napoli and look forward to going again.
Pros:
Great pizza and calamari!Cons:
Bit of a wait to get in.Review of Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Resort)

Having stayed at all of the moderates over the years, we decided to try a pirate room at the Caribbean, having not stayed there since around 2000 or so. Well, it hasn't changed. I have to say it is my least favorite moderate resort, with Coronado Springs being my absolute favorite due to the theming and feel of the resort, with both Port Orleans coming in second and third. Caribbean Beach is bland, especially considering its themed after somewhere so robust and alive as the Caribbean. The grounds are not as beautiful as the other moderates, and the whole look and feel lacks a special something, unlike the others. If you didn't tell me the resort was themed after the Caribbean, I would never had known. Our pirate room in Trinidad South was extremely quiet the first three or so days we were there, which was a blessing since the main pool was always noisy, especially with the staff doing some kind of kid's sing along thing which seemed constant. Our quiet pool was exactly that except for one afternoon which had a group of obnoxious unsupervised kids being loud. Pluses at the main pool are a pretty long slide compared to the others, and a second 'hidden' hot tub behind the main pool slide building, which I delighted in camping out one afternoon with no one else to bother me. Other nice touches are small beaches sprinkled here and there, more than the Coronado, so there are plenty of options to find a quiet one to yourself. The food court was nothing to brag about. I had a cuban sandwich which seemed to take forever to get, but it was pretty good, if not worth the steep price. If you try anything from the quick service, get a 'monkey cupcake', chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting with banana filling, it was so delicious, even though it fell apart when I ate it lol. The pirate room was very cool, however the mattresses on the beds were HARD. The theming was awesome though and it was nice to come home from a day at the parks to a Disney themed room, I loved it. We always request a certain type of room when we stay at Disney, and I must say this is the first time in awhile we were granted our request right off the bat (probably because Trinidad South was so deserted). A pleasant stay but there are other better choices in the moderate category.
Checking out was a problem, with our luggage. We took it to the main house to check in to our flight and so they could take the luggage, and they couldn't find our reservation. Very frustrating. So we took our luggage to the Polynesian, and they found our reservation right away no problem and allowed us to check our luggage with them . A negative ending to an otherwise pleasant stay.
Pros:
Quiet area in Trinidad SouthCons:

Ate here week of may 18, on dining plan. It is one of the most expensive buffets at DW. Ressies were for 7pm and waited at least 30 min. It was hot that day and we eventually went and stood inside. We were seated with another family of 3 adults. We are a family of 5 2 adult, 3 children. They rolled their eyes when they seen they would be sitting with us. They wanted to sit on the outside which made things difficult because my kids wanted to get up and down to get to the buffet and my dd5 wanted to go down front to dance with the band. She ended up not eating a thing because she wanted to dance so much. My kids are picky so they didn't eat a whole lot off of the buffet. I'll be honest my husband and I didn't either. We eat a lot of this food at home so it was nothing new to us. Our waiter took forever getting refills on drinks. My son and husband got the pint of beer but I could have had a pint of ice tea I was so thirsty. I kept asking for refills and our waiter finally brought them we were done with our meals and wanted our check. We ate here back in 2006 and enjoyed the atmosphere and thought we would try it again. the only positive thing was after our meal we walked right out to watch Illuminations. We then walked around the world while it was all lit up. We will probably not come back to Germany to eat.
