Review of Gaston's Tavern

Gaston's is a great stop for second breakfast. It's pretty quiet for the first hour after opening while the park is filling up. The cinnamon bun is huge and great for sharing.

Pros:

Gaston's tavern has some limited indoor seating, including antlers in all of the decorating. Large restroom area nearby.

Cons:

Limited menu, limited seating. It closes before the park does. Don't assume you can grab a cinnamon bun or try LaFou's Brew right before the fireworks!

We stayed at Poly, our first time, for my son's 14th birthday. Normally we stay moderate and I would not usually spend the money but I had heard so many rave reviews that I bit the bullet and spend the exorbitant cost. We arrived late evening and had already received our text so went straight to our room. Was disappointed in how dirty our building was in the hallway and elevator area. It looked like the carpet had not been cleaned in months. While the room was clean, it was plain and a bit worn. While I will admit my expectations were high due to the cost, we have stayed at nicer moderates.

The quick service cafeteria was small and did not have a huge selection, which was disappointing. The parking was awful and one evening, I took the very last parking spot. I assume this is due to everyone coming to eat at the restaurants.

The couple of bright spots were the cast members. They were always friendly and had smiles on their faces. Our interactions at the gift shop and concierge would very good. We also enjoyed the boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. Although we did have to wait a couple times for one with enough seats. And on the morning of our early morning breakfast at Crystal Palace, the boat was almost 30 minutes late starting service.

I am sad that it did not live up to my expectations and I will not visit again, other than to eat at Ohana!

Pros:

lobby, dole whip access, cast members

Cons:

rooms, transportation to parks, food service

I dont understand why they manage this restaurant the way they do. It could be done a lot better its just a glorified cafeteria. The food was fairly good, granted this was awhile back before even further recent changes. It is no fun trying to hunt for a table, the place is an absolute madhouse, and very loud. Horrible lack of management control as well. We have no desire to ever put up with this location again.

Pros:

food

Cons:

hunting for a table, loud, a madhouse.

Been coming here for years and will continue to do so every trip to Disney! My kids loved being here- the rides, the wave pool, the tropical atmosphere! Now just my husband and I go together as our kids are grown and no longer vacation with us. We love the lazy river! Always a great way to spend the day!

Pros:

Sunshine and palm trees!

We really enjoy dining here. The service is top notch, the atmosphere is most enjoyable and you really do feel like you are in Rome back in another time. The menu has greatly improved since opening as well. We have only been during lunch hours but you can actually have a nice conversation there and not have to strain like in so many other disney springs location. Yes it is high but what isn't at disney springs in terms of sit down dining, it is well worth the price. We can't wait to go back.

Pros:

atmosphere, service

Cons:

none

This is my favorite table service breakfast!!! The food is fantastic and the characters here are the best! So much fun! This is a family style meal which is nice and it is all you care to eat! This restaurant also has the best servers! This restaurant also rotates very slowly so that is also a neat treat!

Pros:

Food, characters and servers!

We arrived at 9 am and our room was ready, and we were upgraded to Savannah view! Within the first hour, we settled in our room, our luggage was delivered from magical express, and we were standing outside on our balcony watching the giraffes and zebras. Breathtaking.

Pros:

beautifully themed, awesome food court (very important with kids) that is located near the pool area for great atmosphere. Pool is huge with fun slide and zero entry. Animals are everywhere!!! Excellent bus service - quick and efficient, never waited.

Cons:

Giant U-shape can be a long walk if you're room is on one end and need to get to the lobby area or pool, etc. Also, I enjoy walking outside in the mornings to get coffee, etc. but there are no trails around the resort due to the safety for animals and guests.
