Review of Harambe Market

We love the Harambe Market dining area. We have eaten there several times. It is so well themed with its miss matched tables and chairs. It is a colorful, shaded and relaxing outdoor area. However, when we were there this summer, our very favorite and every time dish - the Chicken Tikka Masala had been removed from the menu. It was quite delicious and served with pita bread and the wonderful and unusual black eyed pea salad. It is a great disappointment to have this removed from the menu. I would have given it a 10 if the menu had not been changed. Now I am not sure if I will find something on the menu that I like since I don't eat beef or lamb.

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

menu changes

We have stayed here for our Disneyland vacation the last two summers. It is clean, quiet, has an indoor pool, offers a free basic breakfast, and best of all right across from the entrance to Disneyland.

Pros:

location

Review of Be Our Guest -Counter Service Lunch

The best thing about lunch is not the food, it’s the surroundings. Very limited menu that can be cold and not appealing visually. I had the Croque Monsieur sandwich that was over cooked and not very hot.

Pros:

Beautiful place to have lunch. There are 3 rooms you can sit in, and you can wander around and check out all the rooms.

Cons:

Food is just so so.

The cabins are awesome. You park your car, rent a golf cart and you are good to go. Take the boat, it's awesome.

Pros:

Wide open spaces

Cons:

Have to take the bus to most parks

This quick service restaurant is an often over looked gem! The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is a nice mix of comfort food with variety for everyone. The Tonga toast in the morning is just as good but cheaper than they serve at the Kona Cafe.

Pros:

Something for everyone

Cons:

It can get busy and the seating area is not huge.

Review of Disney Dining Plan

We love having the DDP and cannot go without it! We find that it is worth the value for us; we are big fans of the buffet and family-style meals (which cost more and usually include characters). We also find that saving your snack credits for higher cost options such as the Dole whip or funnel cakes. We love that it is all connected to the Magic Band and everything is seamlessly integrated! We find we enjoy planning our meals by making reservations, which help us sustain good energy levels and good vibes.

Pros:

Good value, includes almost every restaurant on property, less money to carry around, makes scheduling meals a priority which leaves no cranky kids 🙂

Cons:

Tip not included (but it totally was during the initial roll-out years back) which can be pretty pricey for some meals

Great personalized evening safari. We were right up next to the giraffes..... almost could touch them. Wish it was longer

Pros:

Only one other family in the Jeep with us. Easy conversation with our tour guide. Up close to the animals

Cons:

Not long enough

For a value resort it surpassed my expectations! Love the upgrades! The grounds are nice and the way the buildings are set up makes for pleasant walking. I didn't feel the walk was far to anything at all. Yes the food court and buses get crowded but thats not unexpected either. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Pros:

Outstanding upgrades! No carpet, nicely appointed room and separate sink area with lots of storage

Cons:

Review of Food & Wine Food Booths

My family and I have enjoyed the food and wine festival several times, most recently my husband and I went for our 20th anniversary. I love how they have the different booths set up going around the world showcase. It's nice because you can use snack credits if you are on the Disney dining plan or they have these adorable little cards with a wrist band you can put money on. As you are walking around they have menus that you can look at, makes it good if you don't like certain foods. We love to try different foods, so we truly enjoy trying everything..there is something for everyone.i recommend it for sure.

Pros:

Getting to sample different foods from different countries.using snack credits from the dining plan.

Cons:

Weather usually very hot when festival starts.
