We did the on line ordering ahead, it was super convenient. I love the ambiance of being in the castle and the fact that we could make reservations (unlike most QS/CS locations). The food was good, if not wonderful, there should be something for everyone on the menu.

Pros:

Castle dining!! awesome themeing, order ahead service, able to make reservations (in fact you really should).

Cons:

I honestly cannot think of one "con"..it was great!

Review of Creature Comforts - Starbucks

Creature Comforts is a great place. We always hit this on our walk by in the afternoon for an extra lift. It is large and airy and you are getting a familiar brand product.

Pros:

Snack Credits (on the dining plan) can be used for ANY size beverage and for almost everything in their cases (baked goods). Super great value and a great way to use some of those credits up.

Cons:

Occasionally the line will be extensive, and their seems like there is no good place to stand to wait for your drink.

Review of Cafe Orleans Lunch/Dinner

I absolutely loved this place! This cafe is situated in the New Orleans area where you can enjoy a great lunch as you take in the scenery of the Rivers of America. The montecristo sandwich is one of my top 5 Disney foods. This sandwich cannot be found in Disney World Resort which makes this all of the more enjoyable once taking the first bite. The pomme fritte fries are a great side and the portion size of 1 order is enjoyable for two people (and we love to eat). For dessert, we ordered the beignets to finish our experience. Truly airy and delicious accompanied with a berry compote and a vanilla sauce.

Pros:

Food Service Location

Still some of the best pâtisseries around. Many of them are still truly sweetened in the French fashion - not as sugary as the North American versions, but things have changed here too, and now several offerings taste as though they've doubled the sugar content, overwhelming the cream, custard or chocolate. Quel dommage!

Pros:

much of it still very delicious

Cons:

some choices are much too sugary

The land based on Cameron's Pandora transports you to a whole new experience. The scenery is breathtaking, the food is exquisite, and Flight of Passage is definitely an attraction you don't want to miss. Riding on the back of a Banshee in Flight Passage was thrilling and the views were spectacular. If staying at a Disney resort, grab a Fast pass for this attraction 60 days prior to arrival as these tend to go quickly.

Pros:

Theme of the land Flight of Passage Food and drinks are great at this location!

Cons:

Navis River journey (wait times are long for short boat ride)

Yes, there is okay coffee here now - but we gave up Starbucks long ago, when their coffee quality took a few hits. Now waaaay back in the day, (80s, early 90s), Magic Kingdom had coffee carts with some of the best hot and iced coffee around (even decaf - a new necessity for me). It's been downhill ever since! The sweets are okay - but this is the Magic Kingdom! Where is the Magic? Where is the supremely royal tasting coffee and goodies!!! Cmon, Mickey, help us out!

Pros:

Starbucks is better than the most recent coffee offerings.

Cons:

Starbucks is worse than in the old days of varied and great coffee almost anywhere in WDW !

Review of Coral Reef - Lunch/Dinner

We really enjoyed our most recent meal here. Sitting right by the tank changes your experience of this restaurant. Our food was very good and very tasty. (Seafood places can sometimes be bland.) The mani-mahi was just right! The service was very good and very conscientious, as one person in our party has a severe health concern, although not an allergen. They gave his meal the extra attention needed, without dismissing it - we've heard this before in other places: "it's not an allergy." While true that it wouldn't bring about an instant 911 call, it would cause very serious problems within an hour or two. So thank you WDW, and the chefs at Coral Reef. Although it seems noisy, it's a muted noise. We've only ever had great food and great service. The lighting is designed for maximum viewing, but this place would lend itself very nicely to having a little corner having dimmed lighting, but that's because this place speaks to the romantic in me!

Pros:

Whole wall aquarium views, and tasty food.

Cons:

nothing comes to mind

My husband and I ate here for the first time earlier this September. We both extremely enjoyed our meals. He had the shrimp and grits and I had the meatloaf. Hummingbird cake and moonshine cake for dessert and both of those also amazing! We will definitely be making this a regular dining spot on future trips!

Pros:

Our waiter was awesome!

Cons:

None!

Review of Boardwalk Villas (Disney Vacation Club)

There's nothing I would change about this resort, except the distant parking, and now, parking fees! These rooms cost enough to include parking! Although the DVC Villa rooms are a bit tight in some ways (the sleeping/living area is a very tight squeeze), but it makes room for a well-designed mini-kitchen space, a roomy bathroom and dressing area. Its proximity to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios is the best part. A very very close second is the boardwalk area right outside the door. The entertainers, the ambiance, the food aromas, boat rides, the lake, the music, the lights (especially right at dusk) - a lot in a just a small space. A really special spot for us, is where the rocking chairs are out on the wide veranda/porch! You can hear some of the activity rise from the boardwalk, while you sit and stare up at the stars. The main pool area is very serene compared to Stormalong Bay at Beach Club, and you can even watch the boats along the waterway to the Studios, from some of the lounge chairs near the pool! It also has a pretty great slide into the pool! We love all the food offerings, but miss some that have closed in recent years. Some DVC rooms are a good distance from the main lobby but they may be just right if you want to get to the pool often, or to walk to the Studios (a fave thing to do, for our crew)! They have a unique art gallery/shop down by the boardwalk, with some wonderful browsing. Service has been nothing but excellent, and all staff have displayed the best of WDW service style.

Pros:

location and ambiance

Cons:

parking distance and fees

Review of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall - Lunch/Dinner

Yes, it’s extremely pricey but I knew that going in so I’m not factoring it in to my rating. I’m from SoFla and had a crazy idea to drive up (3.5 hours), spend the day with my 4 kids (I was the only adult) and then drive home (3.5 hours again) in the middle of the summer. This restaurant experience was perfect for us! We had a relaxing, air conditioned, two hour lunch break. My 6 year old doesn’t like full costume characters so the princesses were perfect for us. My three year old (boy, even!) just loved all the princesses. They do such a great job of stopping at every table and making the interaction feel like it’s not hurried. I DID feel like I was overpaying when two of my kids ordered mac n’ cheese but you really have to understand that you’re paying for the experience.

Pros:

Great character interaction, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere

Cons:

Price
