Stayed using DVC pts. Home resort is Poly but wanted to be close for F & W. Stayed studio over Labor Day weekend 4 days. Requested closest to lobby. Upon checkin requested extra pillows & egg crate for pull out sofa. We request this at each resort we stay at as the pullout is just to hard. Never received notice room was ready and we were doing the after hours event at MK that night so didnt get back to room until 1 am. Pillows were there but no egg crate. Called front desk they said it was delivered & apologized and said they woyld send 1 up. Mousekeeping came with more pillows but no eggcrate said they dont have them. Had aweful night sleep. Next morning called again and they said will try to find one. Came back to room that night with even more pillows no eggcrate. Called again & mousekeeping brought a single eggcrate that would fit on pull down trundle. I fave up and used pillows. We liked this resort for location, options but a family of 5 with 1 bathroom will not work for us. We liked the pool but was always crowded and the hot tub didnt work. Planning on a Nov trip 2019 wiuld stay here again but would get 2 studios.
Pros:
LocationCons:
Small studios, hard pullout sofa, 1 bathroom.Review of Award Wieners

We ate dinner at Award Weiners twice during our August trip. We all had either the bacon/cheese dog or plain hot dogs. Hot dogs were good and the film cut fries were a big hit with everyone.
Pros:
Quick service, great friesCons:

I lllooovvvve this resort! The staff can't be beat. It is close to the Magic Kingdom and you can use a boat as your transportation to Magic Kingdom. Since this granny takes grandchildren to celebrate 5th birthdays at Disney World, we use the boat alot and the kids think this is awesome!
Pros:
convenient to Magic Kingdom, the design - reminds me of national park resort, fireplaceCons:

We dropped of our son for the full night on September 4th and would do it again on all future trips. My son has sensory issues and at times wears headphone to help him. The staff took them and seeing I was nervous leaving him told me he would be great and if he didn't like the sounds that they had a area for him to sit with a staff member and chill out. They gave me a business card and said call anytime to check in. We came back before the dance party to see if he wanted to leave and he said no thanks I want to stay. The staff gave us ideas of what we could do until the night ended. The only problem we had was getting back to our Disney resort when we left. We had to ride to Epcot and get a bus. Had we know ahead of time we would have chose a night with Magic Kingdom Extra Magic hours to ride a bus without traveling to another park.
Pros:
Staff goes above and beyond for the entire family to have a good night. They treat nervous parents with respect and help give ideas of what you can do if you don't have plans in place for the adults.Cons:
Lack of communication at time of reservation regarding buses not running as late as the Pixar Play Zone hours to get back to resorts without traveling to another park and transferring.Review of Fairfield Inn

My family stayed at the Fairfield in August 2018. Our room was a premium view room which was recently renovated. The room was ready upon our arrival and was nice and clean.
Being able to watch the fireworks from our floor on nice we returned early was great. The hotel is a short enough walk to the parks that we could return in the mid afternoon heat for a dip in the pool before heading back.
We would definitely stay at the Fairfield in the future.
Pros:
Short walk to the park, Pizza Hut on site, fireworks viewCons:

My family went to the last breakfast reservation and loved it. My son has sensory issues and I marked the reservation with allergy because they didn't have anything for sensory food issues. He only ate extra crispy bacon and they made him a mountain of bacon to eat. Staff allowed my sons stroller to be his chair so he felt safe and not overwhelmed. We saw all the characters multiple times and Mickey sat with my son and let him get comfortable before offering to hug him. Chip grabbed my son's over sized pen and used it as a sword with the waitress and they had a battle to entertain us.
Pros:
The staff and food was amazing! We saw Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale multiple times and they all took time with my son to make the day magical!Cons:

The theming is fantastic but Flight of Passage was a let down for me. We got in line as soon as we arrived and it was about a 90 minute wait (we were there at parking opening.) It took forever just to get into actual queue space. But once in the line was definitely a part of the experience. The ride itself was not so great. The one room were in line for broke and we had to be moved to a different one. The ride it primarily a movie screen you are watching as the seat your on mimics riding a banshee. Those type of rides make me feel motion sick and this was no exception. I can ride Soarin' with no issues because it is mostly calm. However this one is a lot more sensory overload. None of the 3 of us go off feeling like it was worth the wait. We were glad we did it once...but never going to wait for over an hour to do it again. We did have a fast pass for the boat ride. It was cute enough. Probably the highlight was the Boba drink. The girls couldn't wait to try that!
