Review of Chefs de France - Lunch/Dinner

My boyfriend and I ate at Chefs de France for lunch on Wednesday December 5th which was excellent and not a “signature” two credit restaurant like Monsieur Paul of which we ate at on Tuesday December 4th for dinner and was horrible. It was cold out that morning on Wednesday December 5th and the hostess standing outside, while obviously cold, greeted everyone with a smile checking in. We had reservations that I made six months in advance online but they were letting in walk-ins with no reservations. The french onion soup is AMAZING! By the time I got done eating that I hardly had room for my entree which was Macaroni Gratin - similar to mac & cheese. Good service and beautiful restaurant.
Pros:
French onion soup, far superior to Monsieur Paul upstairsCons:

We recently had the luxury of staying at the French Quarter for 7 nights. I loved the newly renovated rooms. Love the décor. The rooms seem to be more sound proof than they used to be. The new floors are fantastic. They are so much better than carpeting and still feel sort of soft and comfy. The beds are elevated so that you no longer have to worry about what was left under there by the prior occupant. The mattress was so comfy - it was tempting to spend more time there when we had an early FP+. However - we opted for the option of not having daily room service. We assumed that they would still come in and clean after 3 days - WRONG. Unless you gather your trash and towels and go out and find a cleaning person to exchange these, they will not come to your room. NEVER AGAIN. I do not think it is worth it not to have ANY room cleaning. I missed seeing the bed nicely made and seeing the fresh towels appear in the room. AND I felt horribly guilty that I was putting someone out of a job. The Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory was clean, and the food choices varied and delicious. The grounds around the resort are immaculate. This remains my favorite resort.
Pros:
Manageable size, Really friendly staff - ALL of them! They make you feel special.Cons:
Do not opt for the gift card for not having your room serviced. Other than that there are NO cons.Review of Disney's DELUXE Dining Plan

We decided to try the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan on a recent trip because Disney had changed the rules on how entitlements can be used. We were on a trip with two separate rooms/reservations (3 people & 4 people). We bought the Deluxe Plan for one of the rooms (4 people) and were able to feed BOTH rooms since we were able to share the entitlements. 3 meals per day is a lot of food - we sometimes shared meals (especially table service which also includes an appetizer) and when each used a meal, we were able to (wanted to) skip other meals. The downside of this is 'managing' the plan - I felt like I spent a lot of time making sure we were making the best use of entitlements for 7 people.
Pros:
We definitely saved money and had PLENTY to eat. If you are in a situation like ours (2 reservations), I'd recommend buying it for 1 room. In my opinion it is way too much food unless sharing.Cons:

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights beginning on December 12. The rooms were very nice and the walk to the bus stop wasn't terrible. However, that's where it ends. This resort is huge and the number of buses servicing the hotel were abysmal. Every time we left a park I knew exactly where the line for pop century was because it was enormous. I did not see any other value resorts with this issue. It made it so that I will not stay at this particular resort again.
Pros:
Nicely refurbished rooms for the cost. Fairly quiet...consideringCons:

One Bedroom Villa 12/17/18 - 12/22/18. We stayed at Boardwalk last week and had minor issues with the fridge and the door on the dishwasher. I spoke to the front desk about our issues and within a few minutes (literally) they had a new fridge for us and someone else came in to look at the dishwasher. Problem solved.
Boardwalk was beautifully decorated for Christmas. One evening, Mickey was in the lobby doing pics which was a really nice touch. Last week, the weather was cool.
Our room was clean and housekeeping stopped in every day to empty the trash. We've never had housekeeping stop by each day, so I guess that's something new.
Our room was very quiet. Bonus. I highly recommend Boardwalk.

LOVE the newly refurbished rooms at All Star Movies Resort! So much extra room and storage & now a coffee maker! Even though it is still the pod coffee maker, at least it has 1. We were in the Herbie the Love Bug Building 7 with 2 connecting rooms & it was very quiet back in this section & only a few minutes walk to the food court. With the pricing of everything going up at Disney, I will most definitely stay here again! Always stayed at Moderate or Deluxe before, but with having to have 2 rooms, went with the Movies Resort to save money, & am sure glad we did!
Pros:
More storage & new beds are awesome!Cons:

Refurbishment is mixed blessings.
Pros:
Each room does feel bigger and is lighter\brighter. Lots more storage space.Cons:
A big .com is that with the exception of a banner like poster\picture above the main bed there is nothing else inside that says Disney. I want to be reminded even in my room that I am in the most magical place.Review of Tokyo Dining

I have been to Teppan Edo many times, but had never dined at Tokyo Dining until my visit this month. The atmosphere of Tokyo Dining is creative and vibrant. You may be seated near the window, with a great view of the World Showcase Lagoon (and Illuminations, if you are dining late). Even if you don't get a window seat, you will have a view of the open-kitchen sushi bar, which is fun for kids and adults alike. The service is extremely friendly and welcoming. You will be greeted with a bow of respect, as is customary in Japanese culture. The menu is diverse and ranges from sushi, poke bowls, and appetizers to bento box combinations and creative Asian-fusion entrees. To start our meal, we ordered the tempura shrimp, which came with two different types: cassava flour breading and panko. Both were delicious. I ordered a variety of sushi and sashimi, which was exceptionally fresh and beautifully prepared. My brother ordered the Miso Marinated Rack of Lamb, which was some of the most tender and flavorful we have ever tried. My parents ordered the Miso-Yaki Salmon and Teriyaki Butter Grilled Chicken, which were also excellent. The accompanying seasonal vegetables (rainbow cauliflower and asparagus) were a bit cold when they were served. Overall, we were very happy with our meal. The prices are quite high, but not atypical for Disney table-service restaurants. The kids menu only offers a few options, although many of the regular menu options would likely appeal to children, particularly the teriyaki chicken and noodle bowls.
Pros:
Friendly service, atmosphere, fresh sushi, innovative and creative menu.Cons:
Somewhat limited menu options for kids, expensive. Very few complaints overall.Review of Crystal Palace Breakfast
