Review of Slinky Dog Dash

I took my mom (age 77) and my uncle (age 81) to DHS and the first thing we did was line up for Slinky Dog. None of us had ever been on it but I heard really good things about it. My mom is a little afraid of roller coasters but I assured her this would be fun, not terrifying. And that's exactly what it was...thrilling but not scary. We talked about that ride for months afterward. It was definitely the highlight of our 4 day trip.
Pros:
Smooth, fun ride. Love the Toy Story theme.Cons:
Long wait (90 minutes) - we had a FP for Toy Story Mania so we couldn't get a FP for this ride too. Also, there's not a lot of shade in the line.Reviewed by connijean Review Date: 04/17/2019

I love the music and it is in the dark. It goes from 0 to 60 and the loops and corkscrews are amazing!

This was a fun show-- more fun than I expected. The sing along aspect will appeal to little kids, but the jokes are for the parents. We really enjoyed it-- and my daughter was never caught up in the Frozen frenzy-- she was a little too old at the time it came out. That didn't stop either of us from belting out let it go!

This is a nice, relaxing ride on a boat with funny skippers. My family enjoys this ride for the corny jokes. We know all the turns and all the scenes, but the skippers can make it a new ride with their jokes. We always come off the boat with a big smile.
Pros:
Relaxing boat ride with corny jokes.Cons:
We normally ride this at night time, usually 20 minute wait. During the daytime, wait time is too long for us.Review of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder is a great start for a vacation and for beginners on riding roller coasters. It doesn't have big drops, but goes fast enough to get your blood flowing. My child started on this ride when she was 6, and has loved it every since.
Pros:
Nice beginner level roller coaster. A ride the entire family can enjoy together.Cons:

We have been to Chef Mickey's Breakfast many times but this year we tried the Dinner with a party of 15. The food selection was great and everyone enjoyed the character interaction. Our server was excellent. He continually checked our tables to refill drinks and remove empty plates. He also made sure that one of the characters that had skipped our tables came back for the kids.
Pros:
Food was great. Service was excellent.Cons:

Family of 15 went in March and had a fabulous time. The kids were laughing so hard at the show they were crying. Food was great. We did have an issue in which four of us do not eat meat on the bone. I called about a month before our reservation to request boneless chicken for those that don't eat meat. The week before our reservation, the restaurant called to confirm our request and the server brought out delicious boneless chicken along with the standard fare. My family was very happy they could enjoy the chicken and I thank the chefs for their consideration of my family members. This is a great family activity. Also liked that the chairs at the table not facing the stage spun around so everyone could enjoy the show.
Pros:
Food delicious, consideration of chefs to prepare something different when necessary, entertainers were great and service was also great.Cons:
None. Since we were staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and had golf carts, getting to the Hoop De Doo was easy but getting there from somewhere else might be a little time consuming.Review of All Star Music Resort (Value Resort)

The All-star Music resort is a nice value resort. Though, we had 6 people and the rooms are not really meant for 6 (6 person suite). With everything pulled out to sleep there was no room to move around. Otherwise, the service was nice. The family had a nice time playing bingo at the pool. The busses can get quite crowded as well.
Pros:
Nice ambiance. Friendly service. value pricedCons:

By far, the best of all the Value resorts. We love the family suites even for parties of less than 6 -- the kitchenette is ideal and being able to relax in front of the TV while not disturbing your sleep space (bed) is a plus. Two bathrooms and closets makes the small size of the bathrooms irrelevant. Being able to put small children in the bedroom to nap and close the door while you have the rest of the suite to yourself is extremely nice when you need a little time to wind down yourself. So much nicer than the suites at Art of Animation.
